Himrab Chopta Resort

As many of the other reviews indicate the food and hospitality are quite good, though the famous Mr. Negi (the chef) went home when we visited. The biggest difficulty is its distance from the road. It does require quite a bit of effort to climb from hotel to the road (if you are not very fit).

Had a good time. Stayed 2 nights. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Had dinner and breakfast food was very hot and delicious. All the staff were very attentive and polite.

Good place to stay at with very nice views. Rooms are spacious. Staff is very helpful and service provided is excellent. Location wise, it’s about 2.5kms away from Tungnath base. Accessibility wise, I would not recommend it for wheelchair users, as to access rooms from main road involves steps and is not easily accessible.

Very good service, really helpful staff, great location with beautiful views. Only issue was amenities in room, which were actually an issue in all stays of Chopta. No running hot water (staff helped provide a bucket of hot water for bathing, when asked). No electricity during day. Electricity is solar powered and works on charges after evening. Again, the staff is helpful and can charge your phone etc. urgently if required. Too many loud guests was irritating especially when trying to catch shut eye. Overall, it's a good place for a day's stay after/before tungnath trek.
