Deodar Holiday Inn (Nivedita Cottage)

I am Asish Chowdhury from Bangalore. Me and my wife have stayed here on three occasions. We used to spend a full week every time. We have also travelled to Mayavati Ashram from here along with Mr.Girish Shah the owner of the property, who happens to be the grandson of Late. Lala Badri Shah, a very close friend of Swami Vivekananda. Away from the crowd and located in a serene environment it's a lovely place to stay. From the spiritual aspect, the deodar tree in the lawns under which Swami Vivekananda blessed Sister Nivedita and many furnitures in the house, letters in Swamiji's handwriting and articles used by Swamiji are there. Very old but very well maintained property with historical value. Swami Vivekanand visited this place thrice with his follower Bhavani Nivedita. You can see there many items used by Swami Vivekanand in the landlord's house. The property is situated near mall road and Link road junction. Vary basic amenities are provided in the room. Rooms are neat and clean.

Nice and calm place at in the city, surrounded by deodar' trees with a beautiful view of Himalayas. People like Swami Vivekanand, Ravindra Nath Tagore, Sister Nivedita stayed here. This hotel also have a museum having Swami Vivekanand ji's letters and personal things. Best place for scholars, environment and culture lovers. Easy parking.
