I want to start by extending a heartfelt thanks to RK and Mahima for making my trip to Uttarakhand truly unforgettable. The property is simply wonderful — beautifully designed with a perfect blend of aesthetics and comfort. The views of the snow-clad mountains are breathtaking, and I couldn’t get enough of the cozy common area, the attic, and the charming machaan. The food was absolutely delicious, whether it was traditional Kumaoni cuisine or other dishes lovingly prepared by Girish Ji. Every meal was a delight. A special shout-out to Bhawan, who was always so helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was the warmth and kindness of the hosts. Their hospitality went above and beyond. They even went the extra mile to set up a private, intimate setup for me as a solo traveler on New Year's Eve. I’m incredibly grateful to RK for arranging a peaceful tent stay in a secluded spot in the village — it was the perfect way to ring in the new year. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Shoonya for anyone looking for a serene and memorable escape. And thank you for introducing me to the concept of Slow Living — it’s a philosophy I’ll cherish moving forward. 😇

Such a cozy retreat just 6 hours from Delhi! Perfectly offbeat and incredibly cozy, yet equipped with all modern amenities. The real highlight, though, is the hosts – high school sweethearts turned life partners – who go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. From a warm welcoming drink to delicious meals (even snacks prepared personally by the host!), their hospitality is unmatched. Waking up to the stunning view of snow-covered Nanda Hills right from my room was an absolute treat. Their warmth and sweetness truly made our experience unforgettable. I could easily see myself staying here for a month! Highly recommend it for both a peaceful work-from-hills setup and a quick weekend getaway from Delhi."

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shoonya, and it was truly an enchanting experience. Cozy corners and breathtaking morning views that were nothing short of magical. Food was amazing and you couldn’t ask for better hosts, making sure we felt right at home. My kid had a great time playing around with Apple and we couldn’t feel more comfortable. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway and experience the local vibes, this is the place to be!

Property is peaceful, serene and in the middle of nature with fresh air, greenery & amazing Himalayan view. The rooms are very well maintained, staff is ever smiling n helpful. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility and excellent hospitality.

Went on a solo trip, the property stood out on Airbnb to begin with. The hosts were very responsive, polite and accomodating with requests. The property is a short stunning walk through orchards from the main road. Rooms & the entire property have a great view of the Nanda Devi range. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The food menu is extensive, and the chef does a great job. The service is great too. Plenty of hikes around, there is a waterfall one can visit, star gazing spot, local Shiva temple ++. Overall, fantastic getaway, both for solo travellers looking for some downtime, and families too. Big shout out to Mahima with the attention to detail, right from the welcome guide, the food menu and the rooms. RK is the other host, was very helpful in giving recommendations, helping me plan my trip further, had left some belongings behind, he was kind enough to get them shipped. Overall, super property, views, hosts and the team. Will visit again.

It was a short but memorable trip. We loved our stay in this cottage. All the staff were friendly and supportive. Food was better than we expected. Overall it was like we are staying with a family. I would love to come back again but this time in a bigger room.

Our relaxed drive from Delhi to Mukteshwar set the tone for an equally exciting two-day stay, thanks to our two lovely hosts who had so much in store for us. Warm hospitality, delicious food, stunning views, and memorable bonfire night sessions—there was nothing more we could have asked for. We had the most amazing stay at Shoonya! I visited with my dog, Joey, and it’s truly a must-visit spot if you’re a nature lover or simply enjoy good food and breathtaking views. The hosts, Mahima and RK, were incredible—so warm and welcoming. They guided us to some amazing nearby spots and even treated us to their delicious local cuisine. The space is absolutely magical—couldn’t love it more!
