Char Machan Resort

A eco friendly resort in Guptkashi which is staging post for those going to Kedarnath. (You can see my review of the Gaurikund - Kedarnath hike on AllTrails). The rooms and place by itself is good but the service and the attitude of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. The rude manner of interaction isn’t the ideal way to treat guests. It often feels like they are doing a favour on you for hosting you rather than being true and good hosts. Food is average but they will treat you like you are staying in n hostel. We were told we will not get dinner after 2200 as it’s our fault not coming to thr resort on time. (I was told there is a decent time to come to the hotel!). This type of service for trekkers after a long hard day and with lack of empathy makes this the worst choice for me! Rooms are basic and the other basic items. You will need to carry your own amenities and the hotel doesn’t provide anything. Basically it’s more like a dormitory with nice views!

The Char Machan is a wonderful place to unwind and relax. The rooms were beautifully decorated. The breakfast and dinner buffet was excellent and taste of food was authentic Overall, I highly recommend Char Machan for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation."

Truly amazed at the property,awesome food ,we were part of s wedding at Triyuginarayan temple ,everything was beautifully arranged by Mr Bisht and his staff .all in all a lovely experience.

I recently stayed at this beautiful resort and had an amazing time. The serene surroundings , and excellent service made my stay unforgettable. Enjoying delicious meals, and taking in the scenic views were highlights. This resort offers the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Highly recommended! I stayed with my family for our wedding at Triyuginarayan. Superb place. I was amazed with hospitality and kindness. Staff is super co-operative. Anyone planning for Kedarnath or Triyuginarayan, this is the place to stay. Their USP is food. We ordered last minute daal lhichadi for 20 pax and omg they did a fantastic job. I would love to visit this place again every year. Recommended. 🥰
