The Blue Guest House

We came here and got distracted from the very chilled atmosphere of the cafe. But the room we stayed in was not really clean, speaking for the bathroom and the kitchen. There was something rotten in the fridge and the kitchen was in a horrible condition, not usable at all. We were told it was gonna be cleaned and the cleaning guy is coming but he never came. Then we got a different room without a kitchen, but this room smelled really bad and the toilet was not clean again. We told the cleaning guy to clean it better but he only sprinkled water in it and was finished after 2 minutes. We cleaned the toilets ourselves. So if you don’t care about this, go for the chilled vibes but if you like to be comfortable, definitely don’t sleep here! We left the place after the second night. There is no good service and the manager just hangs out with the people coming there. You should better look for something else.

Funky cafe with delicious food in a chilled relaxed environment with interesting people. Cool live music, kirtan and drumming vibes on some nights. Food is delicious 😋 Laxman and his team are friendly and helpful.

Good place. Nice community & great people. No A/C however... toilets and showers are of very poor quality. Conclusively; great place because of the people, their gentleness and service-centered hearts. Disclaimer however; manager has a Temper, is a tad reactive character and doesn't respond well to critique. Healthy environment nearby, decent location. People makes it worthwhile, as for the manager, no spanks. //Jacob

Best café ever!!! Hidden gem! I’ve had breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and all are superb. I can really recommend the mix smoothie bowls and the falafel plate, both pictured ☺️ The food is delicious, the prices are good, staff is so friendly, and best of all the atmosphere is super chill, super shanti ☮️ Come here for a great meal if you’re in upper Tapovan & soak up the peaceful vibes 🌴

Great place to hang out but you would be risking your safety as there is a resident dangerous dog. This dog has attacked many tourists causing sever injury and nothing seems to be done about it. ||The dog had attacked my girlfriend as she entered the doorway for the first time biting her arm. This was distressing and changed her plans as she had to attend the hospital for 5 rabies jabs over 3 weeks. ||On the her last week she had witnessed a savage attack from the same dog on a female tourist causing horrific injuries to her face. ||Cafe owners give the impression they’re powerless to do anything and say the dog belongs to the land owner. ||So please be aware of this before entering.

Wonderful spot to stay in Rishikesh. Tucked away in a silent street, serving great food and good rooms, you really get great value for money! Alex and Jimmy are really making you feel at home and are the best! Thanks Guys take care!

Owner's dog is extremely aggressive and attacks people. Last year my friend was bit on his hand, this year a different friend was bit on her nose, it left a huge scar on her nose. Do not go here for food or stay.

Perfect location but rooms are not great. I could only take a shower once in 5 days (no hot water or no water at all - it was winter). They forgot to clean my room.. "kitchen" is just a stove and a sink, super dirty and old
