Jilling Terraces

We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. We booked a specific room called "Ringol" in September for our visit in December, but upon arrival, we were told it was unavailable. The hotel is situated at a significant height, requiring a 90-minute trek. We had booked a pony for this journey, but despite charging us, they failed to provide it, leaving us stranded with our child. When we tried to address these issues, the management was dismissive, claiming it was a "technical glitch" despite having documented proof in emails. Given the four-month gap between booking and our visit, it's unacceptable that they couldn't honor their commitments or communicate changes in advance. There are other reviews also with similar complaints of last minute changes / cancellations by the hotel. Overall, a very poor experience.

An amazing place. Have to hike about 90 mins from the base parking spot to reach hotel. They provide horse to carry luggage and in case anyone isn't able to hike. Has 6 rooms in total, with fantastic views. Service provided by Ved Prakash ji and team is amazing. They make you feel comfortable and all your requirement are agreed too. It's surprising how they maintain such clean place at such a height. Stayed here for second time. First time in 2021 and 2nd time during end of Oct24. Recommended for people who love adventure, hikes, peace and yet getting luxury.

We had zero idea about what to expect from Jilling Terraces—it was a place we stumbled across on an online article and decided to visit. Suffice to say we weren’t disappointed! ||As I write this review, I’m on day 2 of our 3 night 4 days visit to this beautiful stay nestled atop a hill. You can’t drive here. One can either trek for about an hour or so or ride on a horseback, which is what I had done (my husband walked). ||The place is stunning, serene, calm, green, and beautifully done up. It’s comfortable, almost luxurious when you think of the location, and at the same time sustainable. There are a number of room types—double, single, even a duplex and the option of an entire cottage that one can hire.||The staff is lovely, very warm, courteous, and eager to regale their guests with stories about the region and the local food and the nearby villages. They can whip up delicious, healthy meals made from local ingredients. Ask them for the many snacks they can give you with your evening chai or coffee and they won’t disappoint. ||There are nearby treks to a temple, village, and others, all of which are beautiful and arranged for by the staff. ||It’s the perfect place for families, couples, corporate retreats, and even solo travelers. ||My husband and I have lazed around on the property, plucked and eaten local berries, and enjoyed the sunsets and the constant chirping of the birds. We’re definitely going to come back here!

It's a wonderful place for anyone who likes to spend some time away from the maddening city life. The cottage is surrounded by thick forests and there are several trails that one can explore all around. Great place for bird lovers too as the area is full of different species of birds. The hospitality is excellent and the staff is always ready to cater to your requests. Nice simple folks from the surroundings villages who ensure that you are comfortable during your stay. I spent a few days here with my family and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay..

It is a hidden gem ! One of the most beautiful places I have stayed at!|The property is reachable by 2km trek- covered roughly in 1-1.5 hour- the views while the trek were amazing- there’s also prebooking facility for pony or palki for people who can’t trek & for luggage. |The cottages are of various types - for couples and for families. |The food served is excellent- just like homefood. The food is vegetarian unless specified beforehand. |The view of top cottage is amazing- you also get access to dining and living area.|While living there- there are some nearby treks to do - the temple and the ridge is some of things to watch.|The service was amazing and room was super clean. No noise of traffic or anyone- just nature|I loved my stay here !|For winter travellers- they have bed heaters, high quality room heaters too, so don’t worry. |The view is breathtaking!

The place is very pretty, neat n tidy n tastefully done. The staff was extremely accommodating and courteous. There was dessert made for every meal which was a delight. The food was overly simple I thought but that suited us. The rooms could have been heated as it was cold indoors. The only reason 5 stars wasn't given is coz the treks were exorbitant. I have trekked in many places but never have been charged such steep rates. The treks were picturesque and the guide was quite informative. Other than treks there isn't much to do , so it's a great place to sit n unwind.

Amazing property for a quiet and luxurious getaway near Mukteshwar. Service and staff is phenomenal and ensure you are pampered and well taken care of. We loved the daily home cooked organic food and the overall privacy the property offers. Bansi and team deserve kudos and a raise!

Totally loved the experience. The property is quite wonderful and the service/hospitality is just amazing. We stayed in Kafal, booked for 2 nights, extended it by 1 more night. The food was amazing, but the real heroes are the staff members - such warmth and affection. We traveled with our 19 month old kid but not for a minute we had any trouble. Thank You so much guys. Totally worth it!
