Hotel Samrat

The location of this hotel is great, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms are clean, which is always a positive. However, the breakfast options leave much to be desired. Guests are served the same simple fare of bread, jam, and eggs every single day, which can get quite monotonous. Additionally, the hotel staff wake up guests at 8 AM sharp for breakfast, which can be quite annoying, especially for those who prefer to sleep in on vacation.On a positive note, the hotel owner seems to be a very generous person, and the employees are all very helpful and friendly. This is always a welcome addition to any hotel stay.Overall, this hotel has some pros and cons. The clean rooms and great location are definite highlights. However, the limited and repetitive breakfast options, as well as the early wake-up calls, detract from the experience. If the hotel could improve the breakfast selection and allow for more flexible dining hours, it would greatly enhance the guest experience.

the hotel is located AT marquis Road, the heart of Kolkata. you will find all restaurants within a few steps. new market is within a few minutes walking distance. The staff are Well behaved and ready to fulfill your requirements. you will find Sudarshan and Shakib always near you. the hotel cost is around 16-1800 rs. rooms are clean, beds are clean but a few Spots on the sheet. The washroom is okay. they provide breakfast though it's tiny. I'll recommend you to stay here.

The hotel was not bad. Room was well furnished without maintenance. Dirts on furnitures and various other places were not cleaned. Lot of cockroaches; no hooks or other arrangements to keep clothes properly. Bathroom was clean and good.

Good location to stay around the Newmarket area. The hotel standard is average, environment and room quality are good. They are very sincere in terms of room service and other necessary services. But at first, negotiate the price before getting into the hotel, then you will get the room rent at a very low price. I stayed for nine days at 800 per night. They also help with bus and train tickets, and corona tests.

Very bad service by the manager and staff. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Despite notifying them, the hotel manager didn't bother to fix it. Absolutely not recommended.

The room and the washroom is okay, even though not price worthy. The location is the best feature that this hotel has got among all the features a hotel should have, so go figure out the rest! The room service and provided facilities are the worst. We were not even provided with free water or toiletries. When asked for water, they bought one from the market and took money for it. There was no toilet tissue and they didn’t even bought one even after asking for multiple times. Not sure if this is the norm here in Kolkata, but from my experience of visiting multiple cities and countries, I can tell that I have never seen this anywhere else.

a common place chosen by bangladeshi people mainly because of two reasons: 1. its close to new market 2. its cheap be careful in choosing rooms. some rooms are not very comfortable. Room 104 and one other in the same row are renovated and clean. try to choose those first. the staff are helpful.
