NillI had a very disappointing experience at this hotel, primarily due to the staff’s unprofessional and shady behavior. The man at the reception was extremely rude and acted overly smart, as if he was doing us a favor by even speaking to us. What really crossed the line was how he deliberately quoted a much higher price than what was available online. When I questioned the difference, instead of addressing the concern politely or offering to match the price, he went ahead and disabled the online booking option entirely. Within minutes, all rooms mysteriously showed as "sold out" online – a clear manipulation to force walk-in guests into paying more. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the management. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you enjoy being taken advantage of and dealing with arrogant staff. There are plenty of other hotels that are more honest and respectful to their guests.

NillI had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. The man at the reception was not only rude but acted overly smart and dismissive. When I inquired about the room rates, he quoted a price that was significantly higher than what I saw online. When I questioned this discrepancy, instead of resolving the issue honestly, he went ahead and disabled online booking entirely and suddenly made all rooms appear "sold out." This behavior was clearly deliberate and very dishonest. It’s shocking to see such manipulative practices being carried out so blatantly. I expected transparency and basic courtesy, but unfortunately, this place failed on both fronts. I strongly advise against booking here — there are plenty of better options nearby that won’t play games with pricing.

NillMy experience at this hotel was extremely frustrating. The person at the front desk was rude and seemed to take pride in being difficult. He quoted a much higher rate than what was listed online, and when I pointed this out, he didn’t offer any explanation. Instead, he intentionally disabled online bookings and suddenly showed all rooms as sold out. This was clearly done to force guests into paying the inflated price.

NillI stayed here with my friend for a day and it was such a great experience. I am quite surprised the reviews for this hotel isn't higher than what it's showing on Google. 1. Rooms: The rooms are very spacious, clean and overall building is excellently maintained. The bathroom is very spacious as well, hot water is available 24x7 and is very clean. 2. The service: each and every staff member is so kind and polite and very warm welcoming and they always respond to queries immediately. They all have gentleman behaviour and room service is outstandingly quick. 3. Breakfast: for my booking, breakfast was complimentary and it is a buffet system, the food is very tasty however, was fresh but overall it's very hygienic and have perfect nutrition balance. 4. Location: it's very close to Indian museum and several other tourist locations. It's a great location for roaming around and having meals, street food, etc, it's overall such a perfect location for public transport such as bus, Park Street metro is nearby too and cab stands as well. The hotel have such a perfect service and rooms and the meals have great taste. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to anybody who's staying in Kolkata for tourism.

NillI’ve been staying at Hotel Panash for the past three days, and it’s been a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, making it very convenient to get around. Shashi Gupta is an exceptional host who ensures every guest feels welcome, and the room service team is equally efficient and attentive. The food is delicious, adding to the overall comfort of the stay. I genuinely felt at home here, and the value for money is impressive. It’s been a very comfortable and pleasant stay, and I’m looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommended!

NillThe rooms were in bad shape — poorly maintained, not very clean, and definitely not worth the price. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

NillClearly one of my worst Hotel Experiences in India. I have seen multiple hotels with varying levels of hygiene. Most of the times it was okay with regard to the price. This hotel takes 4000 rupees a night for a room that just is not up to any standard. Spend your money somewhere else.

NillMy experience with this hotel has been mixed. Rooms are clean but they are very small. I had booked a Luxury Double bed room which is extremely small. I checked if I could opt for a bigger room but it was sold out that day. This was in the 2nd floor of the building. There is nothing called luxury here. The bed is a queen size and small for 2 adults and 1 child. The mattress is extremely hard and not comfy. There was a family function in the banquet hall and there was loud music played which ended at around 11 in the night. The main problem was with the noise the caterers were making while wrapping up which ended till 1 or 2 AM which disturbed the sleep for the whole family. The breakfast was OK and the room service was quick. The food rates are very reasonable and the one's that we ordered for dinner was very good (Veg).
