Hotel Galaxy

The Hotel is good for the patients who need to stay longer. There is cooking facilities, AC rooms but wash room is very small and house keeping service is very poor. Still it's good for the patients. Affordable price for longer staying. The entrance is dirty with the disturbance of street dogs.

I can't speak highly enough about this wonderful Kolkata institution. Professional and friendly staff. Affordable, clean and secure. Here in the heart of Kolkata you can't go past Hotel Galaxy. Highly recommended!

Very impressed with this budget hotel's flexibility and price. Nice little entrance full of books left behind or donated by foreign tourists. During the pandemic, and in the absence of the usual foreign tourists, they have catered for long term Bangladeshi guests by providing safe drinking water for free, fridges and convection cookers. This could be a nightmare but it is calm and quiet. The shared bathrooms for those rooms without attached facilities are clean and well maintained. The plentiful supply of hot water was welcome. The location is good and relatively quiet and peaceful being on a quiet gully off the hassles of Sudder Street. The only downside is that it is right next to a local electrical transformer so there is a constant hum. All in all, a good experience. Recommended.

Standard and Cheapest hotel in New Market Area. If anyone want to stay a long time in Kolkata in cheap rate, then this one is a good choice. Its location is very so good, at the center of the New Market so you can move around easily. Stuff behavior is very friendly and they will give you the home vive. Its front side is decorated with books and customer review. You can cook your own meal. Recommended for those who want to stay at cheap price.

Exeptional place. We traveled across India and this place stands out. We are budget travellers and this hotel had double room in our price range. They are kind, honest and provide clean rooms. There is even a kettle with tea bags to help yourself not to mention water filter and fridge. The owner supper friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Stayed a few days on arrival in India. Reasonable price for the area. Room was clean and staff helpful. First room I had at the front was a bit noisy but overall a good bet for a tourist on a budget. The hotel is located near to the India museum and the Victoria memorial.
