A very decent stay at a serene location .The guest house has a large green courtyard surrounded by many trees and flowering plants . The rooms are neat and tidy . It felt like staying at home ,away from home. ..The caretaker Madhusudan da is a very good person and always there at our service. .

One of the most spacious and well maintained guest houses in Shantiniketan. Beautiful well designed garden to take a lot pictures. I visited with friends. The caretaker made a bonfire that we enjoyed. Excellent breakfast of luchi-tarkari. Very close to sonajhuri haat.

Marble palace guest house at Shantiniketan is definitely a home away from home. We enjoyed our stay. It's near deer park , biswa bharati, and Sonajhurir haat.Rooms and bed were super clean. The place is calm with lots of greenery.

I stayed at this guest house with my family (7 members including a child) and booked three rooms from December 29 to December 31, 2024. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to several issues: Cons: 1. The guest house lacks proper maintenance, especially the bathrooms, which require urgent renovation. 2. There is no manager on-site, leading to poor management and lack of organized service. 3. The owner has delegated all responsibilities to a single person, Madhusadhan, who serves as the caretaker. According to a local resident I spoke with, Madhusadhan has been living there with his family for the past 30 years. The owner has even built a spacious house for them within the guest house premises. 4. The caretaker is rude, unhelpful, and frequently offers excuses to avoid serving guests. 5. The pricing is unreasonably high compared to the quality of service and amenities provided. 6. Basic facilities like a hot water kettle for tea or coffee are unavailable, despite similar complaints being mentioned in reviews from four years ago. Pro: The guest house is located in a spacious and quiet area. Suggestions for the Owner: If the guest house is to thrive, the owner should consider replacing the caretaker and addressing the property's infrastructure issues. A more hands-on approach and attention to guest needs are crucial for improving the experience.

Booked this home stay for two nights 2500/night & we took total 3 rooms. Though the property looks quite good from outside but inside everything is so pathetic. We contacted care taker Madhusudan before going but on arrival no one came to welcome or take the luggage.we reached 1pm noon time & madhusudan clearly denied to arrange any food for us & told to arrange by ourselves. Precisely he was so busy to take care of the owner as the family was staying there that time. Noon time we asked him to arrange bonfire he committed to arrange but in evening he said he was unable to arrange as he is working continuously from 21st December & he is tiered. Next day again we asked for bonfire he send our booked toto driver to collect wood & took the fare charge from us which was not cleared before. Through out our two nights three days stay we heard from him he is so tiered due to heavy guest flow from 21st December. We are very much disappointed with his behaviour & bad bathroom quality . We are not expecting five start service but 2500rs also good amount & we deserve decent hospitality. Please don’t take other guests booking when your owner coming to the place because owner blind trust the caretaker & he is dedicated to them only rather pay attention to other guests. In your reply I don’t remember when we ask for discount!!& if you can’t take a feedback & train your caretaker positively in near future you will not be able to see so much good reviews & relish your eyes

The condition of the rooms is poor and the bathrooms need repairs. The caretaker (Madhusadhan) is extremely rude, lazy, and often makes excuses to avoid assisting guests.

A most decent stay in a serene location with a green lawn in front. The cook is also excellent and is always at the guest's beck and call.

Staying in this place is an experience. Both the interior and exterior of this property is wonderfully built. As you enter the premise, it has a lovely garden. Each wood has a story to tell. The house is specious, enough for a good 10-12 people to stay comfortably. The best part is the terrace where one can spend hours just by sitting and enjoying the sound of trees and birds. Absolute peace! Hygiene is maintained, there is a caretaker who is available for 24 hours. There is a cook who will cook delectable dishes and is available till 11 pm. The place is located in Prantik, just 10 mins away from the busier parts of Santiniketan. If you have a car then this shouldn't be a problem. Already looking forward to our next visit.
