OYO 14973 The Grand Kubera

Not even worth of one star. Bedsheet, blankets were smelling very bad. No sweeping done before check in. Dustbin was wet and had garbage while doing entry only. Washroom was not cleaned. Hair was still there. Toilet seat was broken. Jet spray was leaking. Room roof POP was half fallen . For this room they charged 1800 /-. Except water bottle they don’t provide anything like other hotels provide soap , towels. Not at all recommended

It’s an average lodge and rooms were clean but expected more cleanliness in bed sheets and toiletries were not provided. More disappointing was hot water in cold weather which was not available due to some heater issue as per service guy when we asked in the morning. Initially they said hot water available till 12pm which was not true that day. It’s in city centre and walkable distance to good restaurants nearby.

First off this is not a Hotel it's a lodge. They don't have the slightest clue of what it means to be in the hospitality industry. Their staff is the most obnoxious bunch I've ever come across. Their linen isn't clean. My wasn't even swept. There was hair lying under the sofas. They're very busy calling you up to remind you to get out even if it isn't check out time but they couldn't bother checking you in a little earlier if your transportation happens to arrive early in the city. They couldn't be bothered about helping you in any way because their simple answer is that they don't know anything. I needed to leave my backpack at the reception as I was heading out before my bus in the evening, but they outright refused us saying it's not their job. "Talk about going the extra mile". If you want to stay in a place with nefarious and rougish staff you got it!

The person at the reception is really good. He is so generous and welcoming. The rooms are really good and it's budget friendly. You can try negotiating. He suggested us good places to look around. Can stay here with family and friends too. Since the restaurant is new, lift is not working.

It is clean. Apart from that I have nothing to say good about the place. It is definitely reasonable for the price they provide. Good for group of people. Staffs didn't really feel so helpful. Attitude issues may be? I couldn't figure it out. We didn't get extra mattress as per the booking. They weren't interested as we showed up with less people than they had expected. Can't I get what I have paid for just because we were short of few people?? They don't have restaurant. The day I was at Chikmagaluru, entire city was shut down due to Datta Jayanti and almost had to sleep empty stomach. As hotel didn't had restaurant, it became pretty tough. We were little late for check-out and we were told we'd need to pay extra amount(though we didn't. But that attitude). When they provided the room, they made me wait as room wasn't vacant and that was fine with them. I had to settle with their sorry. But when I was little late for check out, they couldn't resist a little while? Double standard?? I won't tell it's a bad place to stay but if you get something similar to this, this hotel will not attract you.

Booked a single occupancy room with this hotel via OYO. Hotel manager won't let me check in as the tariff was very less. Very disappointed in the way it is handled. Lots of noise and fight with OYO for the next 3 hrs to have the balance getting put in as complimentary. Kind of ruined the start to my holidays.If there is so much problem leave OYO. @OYO manage your business better and not let the customer suffer

The rooms are neat and clean, the room service was quick, had a wonderful experience staying here. There is no restaurant attached to this building but both Veg and non veg restaurants are located nearby just a few distance walk. So I would recommend this place to stay.

The hold room is reasonably clean. Beyond that there is nothing much to talk about. From our experience, it was overrated on OYO. Reason: 1. The bath room was not clean and we would not be allowed to change the room 2. The shower was broken and they would not fix it 3. We requested just parking for 1 more hour after check out but we were refused. 4. My cousin walked out at night to see the hallway full of bees (as there are bee hives on the 4th floor) I am not sure which are the other better hotels but this one is not my recommendation.
