Shri Kamalesha Residency and lodge

We took a room here because it was too crowded at Dharmasthala and all other hotels/lodges were sold out. The rooms were average for a one night stay. The bathrooms were average too. We were promised hot water between 6 AM - 8 AM but we hardly got any. I would not say it was too clean but we had to make do with whatever we got for the night. There are no lifts at this hotel. Parking is limited to 10-12 cars at the hotel premises. I could not get the parking for my brand new car and the hotel staff asked me to park at the nextdoor empty site. CCTV coverage is only limited to building and parking. No room service whatsoever. I could not even get help from hotel staff in taking the luggage to the rooms. Since there was no lift facility, I had to carry all the luggage myself to the second floor. There is a HP petrol bunk and an Udupi Pure Veg hotel right across the street of the hotel.

Stayed in this hotel last week .Had a wonderful experience with this hotel . Staff in this hotel is very friendly . It was worth staying in this hotel for my Dharmasthala visit. The price was reasonable 😊

There were frequent electricity problems, and the space was too small to stay comfortably. There were no nearby restaurants, and the bed and blankets were unhygienic. Overall, it was the worst place to stay. I strongly advise against staying here. Additionally, the payment method was not handled properly, and to make matters worse, they only began cleaning the room after check-in. It was a truly disappointing and unpleasant experience.

This lodge looks ok not bad only thing is it is far from temple around 2 to 2.8km i think, apart from that its ok to stay here, overall good.

Rooms were tiny but very clean. We were charged 1700 Rs (non AC) for one day which is on the higher side, given the service and room size. Hot water facility is only in the morning 6AM- 8AM. They turned off power supply to our room in the morning and when complained they said there is power cut but the fan in reception was working. Which is why I'm giving only 3 stars. They turned it on later though. No lift facility.

The owner of this place is a very kind person and he got me food from his house just as I couldn’t find dinner else where in the night…need more such people around to make a happy world… 😊
