Shri Umamaheshwar Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at this beachside property! The location is perfect—just a stone’s throw away from the beach. The staff were incredibly polite and accommodating, and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable experience. We arrived early in the morning (around 6 AM), and the owner kindly arranged an early check-in for us, which was a huge help. He also allowed us to extend our stay as our train was scheduled for late evening. This level of thoughtfulness made our trip even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and hassle-free beach vacation!

It’s located very close to the beach, and the staff is polite and helpful—they even assisted us with carrying our luggage to the parking area, which involved a half-kilometer walk on sloped terrain. Keep this in mind when choosing hotels in this area. We did encounter significant issues with water quality, as it was discolored & smelly(yellow, I have added the pic), and our AC room had a large number of mosquitoes.

My stay at this property was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Despite the host’s initial promise to help us with our bags, he completely abandoned us when we needed assistance. The property is beachside, but getting to our transport required climbing a steep, dark staircase that was unsafe and poorly lit. As three girls traveling together, we were left to struggle with our heavy bags all on our own. It felt not only inconsiderate but downright disrespectful. The host’s unresponsiveness and refusal to help when he said he would made the entire experience miserable. I cannot recommend this place at all; the lack of support from the host ruined what should have been a relaxing getaway. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere!

Unknowingly we went there with our kids and parents.. 300 steps to go down and come up with no assistance .. no even proper lighting.. we had to use out mobile torch to go there. They take payment in advance.. no covered car parking. Open parking is 500 m away which feels like 1 km because of steps. Way to go there feels like a horror movie view if you are traveling in the night. After going for like 250 steps down.. you even need to go on uneven surface as if you are trekking... scared of this sight we left the place at once. And lost our money

If you are on a tight budget like under 1500 for two people then this is what you need. Pro's. 1 very near to the beach like 30 secs walk to the beach. 2. Beds are good both in Non AC and AC ( tip : I suggest you take non AC if you just need a place to sleep the night there and leave in the morning) 3. Calm and safe. 4. Hot water available. 5. Reception is very near and helpful. 6. Safe for girls too. But take precautions no matter how safe the place the tourists will be drunk mostly so. 7. You can hang out at the beech till 2 then cops cons will kick you out of there. 8. Lots of restaurants nearby. Cons. 1. Don't expect luxury 2. Towels were not pure white but they were washed and clean. 3. You can't stay whole night cause of cops. 4. Restaurants, food, booze, cigerette you can buy anything but by paying extra 50-100 rs on each item.

Our MakeMyTrip booking for this hotel is a complete disaster! They casually mention no wheelchair accessibility, but conveniently forget to mention the absurd 1-kilometer trek you’ll have to endure with zero assistance. Oh, and don’t forget, you get the added bonus of lugging your luggage down a flight of steps and then back up to reach the parking. The so-called hotel staff are just a facade. This is beyond frustrating. Brace yourself, MakeMyTrip, for the pictures and a consumer court showdown!

Beach front resort.. very comfortable and safe to stay.. 👌🏻👌🏻 They had restaurant also before.. food served in that restaurant was really tasty and reasonable..😋😋 Cleanliness wise also good, washrooms are very clean and water supply is also proper. Hot water available whole day even for shower bath. As a suggestion anyone can choose this resort if you visit Kudle Beach Gokarna.

Room Service is for namesake, Even the service boys accepted in front of us that they didn't clean the washrooms. Non-AC Rooms are decent, AC rooms are better. Bedsheets and blankets were not properly cleaned. Only advantage is, it is at the Kudle beach where not much options are available for stays,
