Hotel town gate coorg

It would be okay for bachelors but not apt for family stay. Hot water is not properly working in the room we stayed. Smoking smells all around. Not a 12 - 12 checkin/out time which is a positive. Very close to bus stand.

We went there in the long weekend in starting of May 2018 which was quite busy weekend as it was long weekend so room was available which was decently good. How about the owner was charging 1500 but we got a budget room just besides it in hotel Chitra where parking was also available and veg restaurant is there just decided hands free to come over there. Entry to this hotel is a little bit hidden inside the market hence you have to carefully looked or ask local shopkeepers and room has western toilet and is decent enough for a normal night stay if you are not looking for something hi fi

The place is so bad, I had to return in one night. No curtains, the fan regulator doesn't work, There is no hot water in the bathrooms. No restaurant in the hotel. No room service. TV doesn't work. Probably the worst utilisation of space. Extremely shady receptionist. They charge Rs.25 for a Rs.19 standard 1 ltr Bisleri bottle. Non AC room worth Rs. 900 was not worth it at all.

Quite good room for solo who comes, even for couples also but depends on their comfort. Who received me the person was friendly , hot water was available any time . Rooms was clean and maintained,

it is located at the centre of madkeri...bus stop is walkable distance..2 minutes walk...the hotel has all the facilities...needed to tolerate either cold or hot climate...the rooms are spacious with a view and the telephone and tv facility and bus board and a table..everything is neat and clean...thy provided towels soaps.. and gave hot water for drinking as it was cold outside..the staff are kind and helpful and guided well in the new place...evrything is accessible from here. few are of tourist locations are at a walkable distance ..market is right down the lane...and autos and jeeps are available af the junction...we had a pleasant and peaceful stay...

The only reason the are charging 1000+ INR is because of the location. No free parking is available. Hot water has to be requested if you need the same. It comes in tap but the heater connection is centrally controlled. Sleep quality at night is pathetic because of constant disturbances on main road. Bes linen is old. Staff also needs to get trained in basic curtsey and customer service aspects of hospitality.

Other than behavior of staff nothing was good here. During booking it says AC rooms available and hotel outside has big board which says AC and non AC room available.. But hotel doesn't have any AC room. For non AC room with all wiring visible cost is not justified. We were lucky that temperature was pleasant during night so we have survived otherwise our holiday would have spoiled. And finally it doesn't accept card payment. So make sure to bring sufficient cash if you are going there.

The location of the hotel is perfect just 1-2 min walking distance from the Madikeri bus stop. Easy access to the market, banks, post offices, restaurants and visiting places. Value for money hotel, 24 hours wi-fi is available, hotel staffs are well behaved. Double rooms are available in the range of 900 and onward for accommodations. One can visit the points like raja seat, raja tomb, Omkareshwar temple, Madikeri fort by walking. Abbey falls is 6 Km from hotel. For TalaKaveri and Baghmandala one can easily catch buses from the stand as the bus stand is very near only 1-2 mins.
