Bagh Villas | Kanha

We were recommended this place by Suyash owner of Ameliya Safaris. And I have to stay the place was perfect for us. We were a couple with a 6 Yr old. We had read lot of amazing feedback of Akhilesh and Lia and I have to say what we experienced went beyond our expectations!! The cosy and natural environment created, the attention to details was astounding. If anyone wants to visit Kanha I would blindly recommend this property to them. It's not a place to party, but a place to be with nature and genuine people and amazing hospitality. Thank you Akhilesh and Lia and the entire team at Bagh Villas.

After a long flight and drive from Delhi we finally arrived at Bagh Villas to the warmest of welcomes. Such friendly and genuine staff and to have Umesh and Leah around and so happy to chat makes it very special. The tents are luxurious. The food is varied and fresh and incredibly tasty. It was our anniversary and we had a wonderful outdoor meal under the starlight surrounded by lanterns. |The spa is both wonderful and needed after hours in a jeep searching for tigers. It is about a 20-30 minute drive through local villages to Kanha. |The park itself is beautiful. For us the tigers were elusive but most people get great sightings. We also saw wild dog and sloth bear. |After a dusty safari it is like an oasis of calm returning to a hot towel and fresh juice. Relax. Eat. Do it again! We didn’t want to leave.

Our family trip to Kahna took us to Bagh Villas quite by accident. It came highly recommended and we were fortunate to find available nights at the resort. |We arrived by air and the drive from Jabalpur airport, hot and tired. We were drove into the driveway with the massive mahua tree that frames the entrance and were greeted by chilled wet towels and cold juice to refresh us. We already know we were going to be pampered. ||The rooms are large and luxurious. We stayed in the tents and they were spotlessly clean, the bed massive and welcoming and the room beautifully appointed. The bathroom is also massive and luxurious. The rooms are opulent with everything you need. The front balcony overlooks a small pond and I loved sitting on it in the mornings enjoying a cup of tea and listening to the birds and animals as they sang. ||The food is excellent. Lia takes great care to make sure every dish is perfect. We enjoyed numerous cuisines, Indian, Indonesian, Thai, and Continental, each made with care and delicious. They have a lovely farm-to-table principle, the fresh vegetables and some fruit are grown on their property, make sure you visit the farm, and the food reflects this high quality and healthy cuisine without the greasy feel. There is always too much food, and this is part of the luxury experience. ||Akhilesh the manager will help set up safaris, Gind painting sessions and Begia Tribal dances for you, all you have to do is ask. A special shoutout to the naturalist Mohan, he is extremely knowledgeable on the wildlife and region. Make sure he is guiding your tour, he is an outstanding guide and wonderful person. ||What makes Bagh Villas stand out is the personalized service, the staff are able to anticipate your every need and always so happy to make your stay here wonderful. Each and every one of them always smiling and polite and on handd to help with anything. ||I cannot recommend this resort enough, it is special.mitbis the perfect place to call home for a few days. You get back from the hot safari and you know you have a hot bathmor cooling poll saying and a happy staff that will spoil you every minute you are there.

Bagh Vilas not only lived up to expectations, it surpassed them! The hosts were delightful and made us feel very much at home. |The accommodation is excellent.|The entire team is superb and our walks with Naturalists were as enjoyable as the safari drives. |The food was superb as was the pre dinner get together around the campfire.|We also enjoyed a visit to the organic kitchen garden.|We sincerely hope to revisit Khana and Bagh Vilas is the only place to stay, as far as we are concerned.|Thank you for a wonderful time!

I rarely post TripAdvisor reviews but Bagh Villas was so outstanding in every way that I felt I had to let any prospective guests know! We had the tented suites, which were luxurious, comfortable and sound proof. |The food was excellent, and Akhilesh and al of the team couldn't have done any more to ensure that our stay was spectacular. The swimming pool area was perfect for relaxing between morning and afternoon safaris, and our safari guide Mohan ensured that we had brilliant sightings (including tigers!) and also accompanied us on a nature walk.|Many thanks to all of you for a perfect three day stay!

We stayed at Bagh Villas with some friends for 3 nights in January 2025 and had an incredible experience. While the safari's are great, there is so much more to Bagh Villas than that. We went on beautiful bike ride and a morning walk guided by a naturalist. In the evenings we used a high end telescope to star gaze! We got a tour of their organic farm where they grow all their food. The accommodation, food and hospitality was as good as I've experienced anywhere else. We didn't get a chance to experience the pool and spa because there was so much to do. Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Kanha!

Bagh Villa's delivered an awesome luxury experience, we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. |Their team was fantastic, making us feel welcome and they helped all guests socialise and enjoy pre dinner drinks whilst sharing stories of our days adventures or learning more about the nights skies. |The suites are beautifully appointed and oh so quiet, helping us a perfect nights sleep every night.|The food was awesome and we appreciated the variations in cuisine during our stay.|A great place to visit, we enjoyed many fabulous wildlife sightings out on safari!

We recently had the privilege of staying at Bagh Villas as part of an Indian Safari , arranged by Mysteries of India ….. |5 stars feels insufficient for our experience!!!! Akhilesh and Lea head the most amazing and professional team , and from our arrival to our departure, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. |Accommodation , food , service from all staff, safari drives etc etc etc was all first class …… we couldn’t recommend Bagh Villas highly enough ….. or stay was a real treat . We felt thoroughly spoilt during our stay , and had some amazing sightings of tigers thanks to Shrikanth and Mohan , who were so knowledgeable as Naturalists , and a pleasure to be in the company of …… Thank you to the whole team ……. We had a fabulous time . John and Chris 👏🏻
