Mahua Kothi, A Taj Safari - Bandhavgarh National Park

I had decided to spend my 50th birthday with my family at Mahua Kothi Badhavgarh and I was not disappointed. Even though it rained pretty much the whole time and we could not travel much, it felt like we were at home and were well taken care of. ||We had booked 8 rooms so we were pretty much the only people there. All the people at the hotel took good care of us especially our parents who had dietary needs. The whole property is so beautiful that we didn't miss the outside world. When it came time for us to leave, we didn't want to leave. Most of us wanted to extend our stay but the real world was calling us. ||Due to this experience, as an extended family, we made a pact to take this kind of excursion once every year. I thank Mr. Brajesh Saklani and his team for an excellent experience all the way from planning the trip to the final execution. This is why I am a frequent visitor of Taj properties.

The stay during our holiday in Madhya Pradhesh, India,at this place was truly amazing. We had the opportunity to connect with nature, and the safari ride was absolutely marvelous, a must-visit destination. The service was excellent, and Munshi stood out as a warm and attentive host, ensuring all our needs were met and providing a homely atmosphere. The naturalists, Kulasheshtra and Karthik, were exceptional. Kulasheshtra’s extensive knowledge of wildlife significantly enriched our safari experience.

I will must say about service or staff are amazing. Providing good services and great warm welcome.They are provide you the food of your choice as per your need and demand, like people like the food at home or add something extra to it or make changes, all this is done with full guest satisfaction. The most impotent thing is they have different type of dinner places in kothi. Must visit there with family and couple also.

Just go for it and experience the hospitality by Taj Safaris.|There is no comparison!!! The cottage , the food , the lighting , the service you will be surprised. You get to experience the jungle , by living in the jungle ! Wonderful experience their Safaris too are special.

The resort is located in the wilderness.Had an excellent stay. All staff were nice and cooperative, special mention to our Chef Mr. Satan for delicious meals and Mr. Kul for insights into local fauna.Rooms were good.We enjoyed our stay thoroughly.

My parents (mid-60s) and I (mid-30s) had an amazing stay at the Taj at Bandhavgarh. The best part was the staff and how hard they worked to make it special. They served us dinner in different parts of the hotel so we could have different experiences. The rooms were nice and well maintained. The staff including Keshu were so eager to please. We had a great safari guide named Ashish. The safari drive times are much longer than other safaris I've been on and Ashish made the time pass easily by interacting with all our questions, explaining the wildlife, plant life, and teaching us as much or as little as we wanted to know about the birds. The food was also tasty and the head chef (I think his name began with an R) was interesting to talk to and wanted us to have a nice time. In the park, we saw lots of great animals and had a wonderful time. We saw tigers here as well as at other lodges, but our experience at the Taj was the best because of how wonderful the staff was.

We, group of 8 family members, stayed at Maha Kothi for 3 nights, end of Jan,2024. This was the first time majority of us had stayed in a Taj Safari property and we were simply blown away by the warmth and service of the people there. ||We were welcomed by all the primary staff on arrival. Chef Rahul, Sanat and Ramswarup took care of all our dietary needs and pampered us with delicious dishes. We were surprised with awesome birthday cakes as 3 of us celebrated birthdays during our stay there. ||Keshu, Pramod, Munshi and Bhola were the butler team assigned to help us and were there every time we needed anything. We had 4 kutiyas and the housekeeping staff did a great job of cleaning,maintaining, drawing baths etc. They were our invisible helping hands. Our rooms were decorated to mark our birthdays.||We were provided hot water bottles and blankets for our morning safari which was welcome as it was quite chilly. Our naturalists were Anurag and Priyanka and it was very evident that they were quite knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. Although, we didn’t spot any tigers, we spotted other animals and birds and it was an enjoyable safari each time.||A few of us used the SPA facility for massages and the local masseuse were really good. Kanchan ( front desk) and Brijesh (manager) coordinated it.||The campus is serene and we spent some hours relaxing in the veranda, playing games by the fireplace. Each night, the dinner was set up in an outdoor area that was kept a surprise. ||This really was highlight of our stay.||Many thanks to all the staff for making out stay memorable!! Special thanks to Brijesh for providing us with extra car for our journey back to Jabalpur.

We stayed here for three nights and had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is "slightly rustic" but fits in nicely with the jungle location. The room was comfortable and is well equipped - the lack of a television was not an issue but perhaps the management would give consideration of providing internet access in the rooms.|The house keeping was excellent and the room was cleaned and refreshed every time we went out.|All the staff were friendly and helpful but some stood out and need to be mentioned. Munshi and Promod who are the butlers were caring and welcoming. They ensured that we were always comfortable and safe.|Chef Rahul produced some superb food and always ensured that our palates were catered for. Bhola Ram is a very good waiter and ensured that we were well fed - sometimes too well fed!|Priyanka, the naturalist is clearly passionate about the jungle and her enthusiasm kept us going through 4 safaris. She got us two tiger sightings - one of which is probably the best we have had in our very many visits to the Indian Tiger Reserves. Apart from the tigers she kept us well informed of the flora and fauna of the forest- her knowledge is remarkable.|Like all organisations the ethos of the place is directed by the senior management and Brijesh Saklani has certainly achieved this. He had a very visible presence and spent a lot of time interacting with the guests. We did have an issue during our stay but he dealt with it - showing empathy and understanding. Things do go wrong at times but it is how these are resolved that is important and for that we are grateful|All in all it was an excellent stay and we will certainly be happy to return.
