The Nook Residency

I had stayed here 1 night after booking online via some booking sites. The room was like a lodge room. Not suggested. My trip was pre-planned, but i lost an entire day from my planned dates just cuz i had to spent the next whole day searching for another room in ooty.

Very nice view from the roof top specially in morning and night. Little bit costly during pick time but owner is very good and soft spoken.

Neat and clean. But felt like very much congested. One double coat and two small chairs occupied the room space. The owner is a nice person who arranged autorickshaws for us. Way to the hotel is also not a good one.

Had a pleasant and safe stay at nook in commercial road .... Shibu chettan and Dr asha were very friendly and gave the exact directions on what things to buy and where to buy especially Ooty special products... Attached Restaurant is also good,, Walkable distance to all places from nook....

I went to Ooty along with family in the end of September, 2023 and stayed at Nook residency which is a nice place to stay. Rooms were very neat and clean. The basic amenities provided were - a geyser, a working television (channels were in tamil language). Mr. Subba, the owner, is a great gentleman who takes care of his clients at his best. Price charged for stay was fare. It is a three/four storeyed residency where the upper storey promises one a great view of nilgiri hills. Its location is almost at the centre of the Ooty. The Udhagamandalam Railway Station (Ooty Railway Station) and Ooty main bus stand are at an approximate distance of 1 or 2 kms from this residency. They also run a small restaurant at the side bottom of the residency which provide South Indian food at fair price and the quality is also fine. Overall, it was an outstanding experience there.

The staffs are providing their best to make the customers comfortable. The only problem is location. You have to travel in 55° road (very steep). But it is very accessible and cost worth. We just paid 1500 rs even in may😃....Great! 500meters away from A2B and the same from Arya Bhavan. Nice Blankets, hot water provided by the hotel itself, tv was working (with all the channels) Nice experience. The terrace view was amazing A economic hotel within the Ooty city.
