We did this trek in a day, but I would suggest stay at mahinag, and thn start trek again next morning, u will reach in 2 or 3 hours depending on your capability

We stayed in wonderful houseboats but house boat will not give same feeling like hotel gave people of new must take one time experience but not for second time because there is nothing new available in house boat just stay and enjoy water boar kind of thing

Amazing location! But most of these stays are good for nothing! U should probably skip them and there is no point in going here . U can enjoy the view from outside hotels better and cleanliness is a concern in this house boats. They are freaking crowded!

Unique experience for a stay. The houseboat is cleanly maintained though where the boat is present is bad. Provides facilities like wifi and hot water. Host who looked after us was good and provided great food. Unless you wish to stay in houseboat, it is not worth it.

Full of loot in this place. They don't think us people other than we may be shown as paisa machine which can be withdrawn at anytime with fake speeches. Rate of food is too high, not accessable, waste of money while getting boat house. My advice is to take a hotel in market, just go for a sikkara ride

Excellent location with amazing views of Dal Lake and Shankaracharya hill. Rooms are cushy and cozy, even in chilly winters. Caretaker Shabbir bhai really takes care of your needs. Rooms are well maintained every day. Food is tasty, sumptuous and very reasonably priced.
