Bannerghatta Nature Camp-Jungle Lodges

We recently visited the Bannerghatta Nature Camp, and it was an incredible experience! Waking up early in the morning to see deer grazing right in front of our room was truly magical. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the food was absolutely delicious. The driver for the safari was very friendly and patient, making sure we had ample time to capture videos and pictures of the animals. He showed us around thoroughly, ensuring we didn't miss a thing. The morning nature walk was another highlight. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, explaining many fascinating details about the forest, its animals, and its trees. It was a memorable and enriching stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature!

We took a day package via the jungle lodges at Bannerghatta and were very happy with the service. The location is great. The staff (the managers, the personnel at the reception, the drivers, the restaurant staff) are extremely helpful. We were welcomed with coffee/tea/juices. Since we were a little early one of the staff walked around with us to show us the area. The safari bus driver took us around slowly and gave us plenty of time to see and photograph the animals. (In contrast, the buses from the zoo were much faster) They were flexible with the schedule and brought us back to the nature camp and then to the zoo. The food was delicious! We saw many animals, including the cheetahs. The butterfly park was great too. I highly recommend experiencing Bannerghatta through the jungle lodge. Note - if you are coming by taxi, you will have to take a muddy road to reach the park (there is a sign for the nature camp as you get close, follow the sign rather than google directions). Also, if you arrive before 10AM as we did, the gate may not be open. But it will be opened eventually and in the meanwhile you can walk around a little in the peaceful atmosphere.

I had started at the nature camp with a few friends and we had a great time. The property is well maintained and the staff are super hospitable. The food was good. It's great for a weekend getaway from the city. The birding experience facilitated by the staff was splendid. Such a beautiful place and so close to the city.

Very nice place. Enjoyed Jungle safari. Very close look of wild animals. Safari drivers make sure that you enjoy the close look of the lion and tigers. In the evening time, you will find many deers roaming around your stay. It’s great experience.

Good Experience with Family (Especially Kids will love it) watching Deer walking near by room. Safari was good and best part is the Morning Forest walk with Guide ( Should not miss it) Only sad thing is its 1pm check in and 10.30am check out, so we will feel time got over so fast !!!

We had taken the executive tent package. The tent has a small terrace to spend time after checkin. The lunch is good. After the lunch we went for the jungle zoo safari which was included in the package. We saw tigers leopards, bears and elephants in very close vicinity. After the jungle safari we went to the zoo and butterfly park which are very good. After the zoo, we had high tea followed by a camp fire and dinner.

The location is perfect for a weekend getaway with family, safari and morning nature walk was worth experiencing, specially kids will enjoy it. Food is good but can be better in taste( they gave a good spread of options though). One big disappointment was we were staying in a log hut which is made of some weak wooden material and many squirrels have made holes in it and they are living inside the roof they keep on coming inside the room ceiling in search of food specially at night we were petrified when we saw squirrels inside the room right above the bed while we were sleeping, staff knows about the issue yet they have not taken any actions to seal the roof from inside, even after complaining they didn’t help which is why 3 stars

One of the worst JLR stayed, we have stayed in Bhadra, Gopinatham, Bheemeshwari, Dubbare, Bandipur, Kabini and many more but this is the worst JLR experience. 1.Starting with cleanliness, where tents are not cleaned with dust hanging from all corners and smells like dead cat and shit here. 2. Games room is sticky with food stains from ages, missing pawns, dice and dusty rusty boards and equipments. 3.Finally staff here were arrogant and not helpful. 4. They played movie but prohibited us from playing music softly inside our rooms! Recommend not to stay or visit unless they improve ! If anyone visits this JLR before other good ones they will have the worst impression about the government maintained facilities in Karnataka
