Whispering Woods

Pros: Nice property. Very Well maintained. Good staff. Tents are nice. Cons: We went there during the Christmas time last year so all the tents with bathrooms were occupied. we (6people) were given a tent which was nice but with no attached bathroom. And the common bathroom was really far from the tent. Coming to Food 😐... There was no complementary breakfast... I didn't enjoy the food much (not just here but at every place we visited in wayanad 😩) I would go there again only if the price is a bit less.

We family of 3 with two children stayed in Whispering Woods [Tents] which was an unique experience. Mainly the scenic beauty is superb. Tents are well maintained neat and clean. Staff in Whispering Woods are exceeding cooperative and helpful. Food is excellent [viz. breakfast,lunch and dinner] Food is served hot and in time. There is Admin office having Wifi facility. Dining area is well ventilated and clean. Running Water facility is there 24 hrs. There is solar powered hot water facility, which is available even during nights. Whispering Woods has a very huge garden with Lot of Flowers, creeps like pepper, ginger. Whispering Woods have their own duck farm. There is a tree house which is at a very high level, one has a wider view of that area from the top.

Our stay at Whispering Woods, Wyanad was awesome. This lovely resort nestled in the beautiful woods of Wyanad is a destination worth visiting. The place is serene and has well appointed tent type cottages. The food and| service is excellent. Overall it was a great experience . We recommend the place to all who want to have a peaceful vacation.|Kumar Pillay

After several office picnics in & around Mumbai, this time we decided to explore interiors of South with my team of 8 and what a lovely place. For me it was nothing less than a heaven. Supurb place surrounded with a scenic beauty, lovely weather, several friendly pets, excellent food, hospitality with warmth and yet value for money. Had a great unwinding time with my 8 colleagues....will remember for a long time. The only advice I will make for the people coming from a long destination: plan for nothing less than 3-4 days....more is better. |Hope to visit whispering woods again with family in 2018.

The owners are very warm and cooperative. It's close to nature and cheerful.We had tents for accomodation which were neat and clean. Although they need to work a lil more on cleanliness part. The staff is very courteous.We enjoyed thoroughly.

Good place for days outing. Facilities need improvement. Food was great. Good buffet spread. Decent activities like rope challenges, machine bowl cricket, carom, TT etc. Location is an issue. Quite out in the wilderness.

I should say in short, a place where you will get peace of mind. Just come and experience the beauty of nature, eco friendly stay, their hospitality,clean and neat tents, sounds of nature. I should thank Dr.Raju and his staff for the service and support they have given us. You demand nd they provide. I strongly recommend all my friends nd relatives to come nd experience whispering woods in kalpetta, kerala.

A nice cozy place and reasonably decent place at a decent price. Would be apt for bachelors, girl groups, biking and trekking groups and okay for families as well but not sure if families will prefer limited luxuries. We pay a decent price and get a decent accommodation with breakfast and dinner and should not expect too much. You get for what you pay and decent though. Breakfast is simple with bread, butter, jam, poori, Sagu, Dosa, chutney, sambhar, coffee and tea. For dinner they serve chapathi with chicken curry and chicken fry followed by rice and dhall or sambhar with a veg poriyal. Water is served in all rooms in reusable glass bottles as they want to keep away plastic etc. The owner Praveen was helpful and was there to take care of our requests and demands as well. A little more improvement can go a long way for this property. Bon fire 🔥 is arranged and BBQ too is arranged on request and at a price. Snacks are made available for your spirited evenings which are onion pakora’s, chicken kababs, omelettes, boiled eggs, salad etc. Overall a decent experience and lovely memories etched for a lifetime.
