Suntara Beach Resort

Don't expect too much of a resort there u will only feel like it's a lodge. A staff named geetha was really nice to us and really helpful at times. No other staffs were there to assist us. We expected a clean swimming pool but the pool is dirty and is not cleaned. Breakfast is not allowed in the same buliding it's far away even if we paid for the food. Please don't waste ur time and money going there. One star review is for the staff geetha.In our room the window doesn't have any closing facility and because of the wind it kept making sounds which was distribuing at night.Its not worth the money.

Worst experience. Cheap management: the whole night there was no electricity, and the owner treated us like refugees. I got big pieces of broken glass from the swimming pool and my son got injured by that . I don’t know when they cleaned the pool last time; maybe it was 5 months ago when they cleaned it. There is no one in the reception for helping us. Please don’t take rooms in this hotel.

The sunrise view from the pool on the top floor in this hotel is to die for. Rooms are spacious but a bit older. All the appliances and switches are worn out but the ambience is rustic. You also have the view of lord Shiva statue from some rooms. Worthy experience.

Spacious room with a clear view of the sea,and fully wooden floor and wall panels. Sunset was amazing in balcony. Roof top swimming pool awesome also nice see view is there. Staffs were all friendly and accommodating. Food were great especially in the dinner. Love the fish curry. Definitely one of my favorite hotel!❤️

This is not a resort, rooms are not well maintained. If you are on a holiday with family and are accustomed to good clean resorts/hotels then its not the place for you.

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. The services were far below acceptable standards, and I would not recommend staying here.||Issues Faced:||The most frustrating part of my stay was that the hotel did not provide water for two entire days. No water for washrooms too.😳 Despite raising the issue multiple times, the staff showed no urgency or willingness to resolve the matter.|The staff were uncooperative and unprofessional, making no effort to offer alternatives or solutions to the problem.||Overall:|Basic amenities like water are non-negotiable, and the lack of service is unacceptable. The staff's indifferent attitude made the experience even worse. I strongly advise against choosing this hotel unless they make significant improvements in their service standards.

Our experience at this hotel was absolutely terrible, and we strongly advise against staying here. We stayed for 2 days with a booking for 3 rooms, including an extra mattress. When we checked in, the rooms were filthy, with dust everywhere, and the toilets were in terrible condition—flushes were not working, and neither were the ACs. When we approached the manager for help, he was unresponsive and claimed there was no staff available. We somehow managed through the first night, but in the morning, we discovered there was no running water. Several other families staying at the property were facing similar issues, and the situation quickly escalated into chaos. The manager resorted to filling rooms with water from the swimming pool on the top floor. Eventually, they offered us a room at the far end of the lane just to use the bath and toilet facilities. Throughout this ordeal, we tried contacting the owner, but he ignored our calls. The manager initially assured us that a refund for the second day would be processed since our booking was made through a travel agent. However, when we contacted the travel agent, the manager joined the call and started lying about the situation, denying all issues and attempting to paint us as unreasonable. Regarding breakfast, they didn’t offer us breakfast on the first day. On the second day, they provided it at the hotel, but their usual practice is to offer coupons and ask guests to visit their restaurant near the temple. The property itself is decorated with good furniture and wooden work, but it is very poorly maintained. The rooms were full of lizards, and we even found lizard droppings in multiple areas. Additionally, the parking situation was inconvenient, as there is no proper parking space for big vehicles. Overall, it was a horrific experience, and we regret choosing this property. Save yourself the trouble and stay elsewhere!

Just spent an amazing weekend at Suntara Resort and couldn’t be happier! 🌴✨ From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with exceptional hospitality and a beautiful, serene environment. The rooms are spacious, super clean, and offer stunning views. 🏞️ The pool area is perfect for relaxing, and the spa treatments are heavenly. 🧖‍♀️💆‍♂️ But what really sets Suntara Resort apart is the incredible service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to make your stay unforgettable. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxurious and peaceful escape! 🌟
