Les 3 Elephants near Cochin in Cherai is a quiet and harmonious place, far away from the urban chaos. Morning sunrise at your window on the backwaters on one side, beautiful sunset on the Arabian Sea on the other, just a few dozen metres away on foot. It's a place to meditate, to admire the simplicity and beauty of the surroundings. The staff is friendly and pleasant, almost like family. I thank them all for the quiet moments, for all the concerns and small intentions during my stay. Congratulations to the manager, Sudhir, for maintaining a spirit of kindness and care. Thanks to Vaishak who helped me get up when I was down. Thanks to Geraad for keeping an eye on my medication every day. Thanks to the many ladies for the delicious meals and the clean atmosphere. Thanks to Akshay the receptionist/accountant who hides his kindness behind a stoic face. It's a place where to admire the simplicity and beauty of things. A good place to take time for meditation. Also a place for serious medical treatment, massage, yoga. Ideal for individuals and small groups. A place to discover or come back to.

The rooms were fine and the views great, however, the staff was not easily accessible and the room service was negligible, there was no clean up regularly even for cutlery they provided us with and coffee cups would be left in the open till the following day. The rooms were nice but dusty and clean up was not possible till the following day and only at a specific time midday when it might be likely that we are stepping out to see the rest of the town. The checkout was hassled and hurried despite no guests on the premises. Construction was an ongoing feature. While this was off-season, and repair and maintainence could be carried out, there seemed to be no care for those visiting for a few days in search of quiet and tranquil settings.

A good place to savour the Kerala beach- backwater ambience. The rooms are off beat and the location quiet. The backwaters and beach are next door. So are a few good eateries Good for a quiet holiday of one or two days but the area does not offer much more by way of activity or sightseeing

It's over rated - while the location is good the cottages r many n give a sense of claustrophobia when all cottages r occupied - we went on lean season n the service n food was just ordinary esp the complimentary breakfast - the lawns n general tidiness n hygiene could be much better even the water adjacent to the property was unclean n full of waste - generally very disappointed esp w the prices we pay no value for money

Beautiful place with a beautiful, loving opening staff from the kitchen, to the loving ladies who provided Ayurveda treatment to the women who cleaned the space! Honestly, I have never felt so much unconditional love! Plus you are near the water and all the bird animal sounds and a walk near the ocean! Plus the food was delicious!! And their lime juice :P

Beautiful setting, gorgeous rooms with lovely views of the lagoon. We based our holiday here and with the help of the reception staff did a couple of overnight trips away during our stay. The guys on the front desk were endlessly helpful and made many enquiries on our behalf to help plan our trips/shopping/accommodation. No resturant open here but easy to have food deliveries (again ordered by the front desk) and the provided breakfast was lovely. The beach is only 5 minutes' walk and there is also access to the sister hotels pool. Would highly recommend staying here!!

It is looking good. that is the only plus point. The price is too high for the property. Pros: view to the backwaters and beautiful lawn. The rooms are just okay but had wood dust all over the bed, could not sleep properly because of the noisy fan and mosquitos. The mattress was okay, but the bed was made of concrete, so we should be very careful not to hit on that. And there were no chairs to sit on inside the room. One washroom has a see-through window with no curtains. another one has no door at all. No hot water available and no buckets or mugs. We had to request and wait for the toiletries. Breakfast also was disappointing. Only two options, which, too, were just okay. And no fruits or juice were provided. The staffs are also not trained well. On the premises, they have a small pond, which is very dirty. And they have kept a shelf full of books outside. But we can't touch it because of the dust. Whatever complaint we said to the manager, his response was funny. For every complaint we made about the room, he just told us this is in European style and this is how you can see it there. But construction-wise, all are in authentic Kerala style, with roofs made of coconut (or palm) leaves. The manager was just blaming the owners for all and said they are not interested much in improving the facilities, which is strange.
