Karikkathi Beach Resort offers a truly tranquil escape, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. The resort's beautiful setting, coupled with its excellent staff and comfortable rooms, creates a memorable experience. However, the resort's somewhat remote location can be a bit challenging to reach, especially for those unfamiliar with the area. Despite this minor drawback, Karikkathi Beach Resort remains a fantastic choice for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful place, lovely rooms, although very dusty and the mattress was stained. The caretaker guy made me feel so uncomfortable, he was always lurking around a corner watching me. I don’t get the AC thing, only being allowed at night for an extra charge. Just put glass in the windows and let me use it when I want to! Great beach views, but they really pressure you to eat there. I asked if there was anywhere else to eat nearby and ‘Vinod’ said ‘NO!’ And yet when I walked along the beach, there was a fabulous pizza place with outside seating just two minutes away, and an incredible resort hotel with live entertainment too.

What they charge is heavy and not equal to the facilities they provide.||Pros:|1. The sea view|2. Responsive owner||Cons:|1. To start with, one has to WALK, TREK, and CLIMB from the nearby 5-star resort Niraamaya Retreat Surya Samudra to reach here.|2. There were big red ants under the toilet commode|3. THEY TURN OFF YOUR ROOM'S AC SWITCH FROM OUTSIDE, SO YOU CANNOT USE IT. Then you have to find or call Mr. Vinod, and he will turn on the main switch.|4. 3-4 lights were not working in the room, so we raised a complaint, and then Mr. Vinod brought the electrician and solved the issue (this checking has to be done before allotting the room to your guest).|5. There are no white or LED lights in the room, so at night it feels dull and shady.|6. There were a lot of lizards inside and outside the room.|7. Only Kerala-style food is available. If you are not from Kerala or South India like us, you will not like the food here.|8. At breakfast, they served pineapple WHICH WAS STALE AND VISIBLE WHITE FUNGUS|9. The WiFi password was kept secret, and poor poor poor connectivity.|10. NO TELEVISION IN THE ROOM (which one can use in the night - as sea view is not available in the night) |11. Lints were all over the bed sheets and quilt.|12. So sometimes the resort's door remains locked from inside, thus someone has to climb the nearby wall to go inside and open the door, WHICH WAS A BIT RISKY ADVENTURE, (and it is the main way of IN and OUT of Karikkathi Beach House)|13. There is no wardrobe in the room.|14. Carry a lock, if you want to lock your room while roaming around||Wonderful sea views from your room. That is the only & good thing to enjoy here. I think so many flaws and so much trouble to see the sea view. In the same of a bit higher price you can stay the adjacent resort “Niraamaya Retreat Surya Samudra”. You will get all the facilities and great food.

Best place for friends hangout. Beach side , sound of waves, private cottage. Visited the place with 5 friends we stayed for 1 night. The path to the beach house is a little adventurous ( say the least). Rest everything was good and well. Vinod, Manager was there for everything and arranged our food and other requirements. Beach is rough and risky. Advised us not to bathe in sea after drinks. But the beach is good for some sports and great sunset view. Provides wonderful background for your photos. Absolutely loved the day with friends. I might say - a small family group or ladies only group might find the place a little insecure because it's that private and as said above, the way to the place is not good. But for friends getogether it's best

A cosy house by the beach, with sun-chairs and outdoor dining under the stars, a direct view of the sunset, and some healthy, homely food. Whats to complain about? Well if there is one thing it would be the strenous uphill/dowlhill climb to get to the location, with small kids in tow. It really was reason enough to make us stay at the location all day. But otherwise we had a peaceful stay. The manager Vinod was kind enough to accomodate our incessant requests and helped make our stay comfortable. Also we had an early moring flight to catch and the management made arrangements for a cab and for our luggage to be transported to the cab (its an uphill task) in the wee hours of the morning. ||Each Villa has two rooms. So its ideal if you're travelling with company as you will be sharing a house. The beach is closeby, but requires a bit of a walk. Food was homely and tasty. There was no air-conditioning, but the cooler was sufficient since it was December.

The stay was awesome, very beautiful property with access to beach. Rooms were very clean. Food could have been better, considering it’s coastal area, sea food is available abundantly but none of the meals provided there had fish served as part of package. Fish was prepared only when requested for and with additional charges. We were expecting kerela cuisine to be served, but was slightly disappointed. Overall stay was pleasant and we had a nice time

It's an awesome experience, away from the mading crowd of the capital, at the lap of the nature , listening to the buzz of waves, an eternal music to the soul, The picturesque view of the Arabian sea, which one can have from the room through the window is an added convenience. The staffs are very helpful, though I couldn't meet the owner,we had a conversation on phone. The chef seemed to be well versed with multiple kinds of cuisine . The location is breathtakingly beautiful.

I recently stayed at Karikhathi Beach House in Kovalam with friends, and it was an incredible experience. The beachfront cottages were amazing, offering a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The host was exceptional, ensuring all our needs were met with attention to detail. The path to the cottages felt like a nature trail, enhancing the overall tranquility of the place. The view from our cottage was breathtaking, and the stay was complemented by delicious food. Mr. Vinod's dedication to checking our requirements made our stay unforgettable. I look forward to returning to this idyllic retreat later with my family.
