Camel Back Plantation by The VERDANT Hospitality

I recently stayed at Camel Back Plantation in Thekkady and found the experience a bit disappointing. The resort is located about 3 km from the main road, which makes it peaceful but also quite isolated and very dark at night. The room was spacious, but it wasn’t well maintained. There were insects, and the bedsheets and pillows were not clean, which was unpleasant. Additionally, the door had issues; the stopper wasn’t working, so we had to lock it from the inside with the key. Dinner arrangements are also a bit inconvenient as you have to place your order before 6 pm, or it becomes difficult for them to arrange it later. On a positive note, breakfast was nice, and the resort itself is spacious, though the staff seemed limited, making service slow. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a quiet getaway, but improvements in cleanliness and maintenance are needed.

It was a very pleasant stay in the hotel. The surrounding of the hotel was awesome. A special thanks to Naresh who was very helpful and took special care to make sure that we have our meals on time. The rooms were huge and it was clean. Shibu sir who is the owner of the property was very humble and ensured that all his guests checks out of the property with a happy face. Will visit again and stay there for a night!!!!

Reception persons are friendly and cordial. Service provided are good. Room is clean and spacious with Hot water facility. Good location. Nature lovers will enjoy. Children loves swing. Happy to stay.

This is an outstanding place. Such wonderful people and warm reception. Clean and cosy accommodation and such tasty food. We will come back again to enjoy this feast.

Stay was good and resort is situated at the middle of the trees. Food price was bit costlier. Toiletry items were missing. No WiFi.
