Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort, Alleppey, Kerala

The property is located bang on Vembanad lake at Alleppey. The property is undergoing renovation at the moment but the service, food and overall ambience is maintained well (except for the swimming pool which needed some attention for cleaning and somehow, no lifeguard or attendant was available). The rooms are majestic and huge. The sleep was comfortable and room service was good too. The food was sumptuous and quantity was great for two and a child. Special mention of the cold coffee which was extremely delicious. The gardens and open areas were well kept. Overall, more than worth the price. Excellent experience!

We recently stayed at Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort for a family vacation, and it was an excellent choice. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—perfect for our family. The infinity pool is simply fantastic. The housekeeping staff made sure everything was spotless, and we really appreciated the extra touches like fresh towels and toiletries. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always going out of their way to help with anything we needed, whether it was extra towels or tips on local attractions. Their warm hospitality made the stay even more enjoyable. The food was a highlight for us as well. The hotel’s restaurant offered a great selection of dishes that satisfied both the adults and the kids. We enjoyed every meal, and the breakfast buffet was good as well. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Lemon Tree Vembanad Lake Resort to other families. It was the perfect place for a relaxing, hassle-free stay.

This place is a gem if you're looking for a hotel or resort stay in or around Alleppey. The property is stunning, with a charming heritage look and a breathtaking view of Vembanad Lake that adds a magical touch. The infinity pool overlooking the lake is pure bliss, and the rooms are spacious, well-equipped with essentials like a workstation and other amenities. Most importantly, the staff truly stand out — they are warm, kind, and treat guests with genuine care and a smile. Be sure to visit their Citrus Café — the Alleppey fish curry with rice is a must-try; it's absolutely out of this world! Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable experience.

**Beware! This place is a money trap.** For a payment of ₹8000, what you actually get is far from what’s shown online. Expect issues like no hot water, or worse—no water at all in the mornings. Many people book this hotel based on the photos and descriptions, but the reality is completely different. I'm sharing my experience so others don’t fall into the same trap. Don’t be fooled!

The breakfast spread was not as extensive as I expected from a 4-5 star hotel, but considering the low cost, it was still good value for money. However, the breakfast options were quite limited. On the positive side, the hotel was clean and well-maintained. It is a relatively small property with not many activities or amenities available.

My stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. Though the property is old, it carries a timeless charm that adds to its appeal. The highlight of the experience was the breathtaking lake view from the hotel—absolutely mesmerizing and a treat for the eyes. The cleanliness was well-maintained, making the stay even more comfortable. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, with the staff ensuring a pleasant experience throughout. The only drawback was the internet connectivity, as the WiFi did not function properly. This was a slight inconvenience, but overall, it did not take away from the beauty and comfort of the stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway.

We visited this property in 3rd week of Feb 25 during our Kerala tour with family. This property looks old from outside and not too attractive, but the rooms are very specious and clean. Bathroom is with ample space. At the back of resort, there is swimming pool and very good view of back water of Alley. Food was good and tasty. Can improve on same. As seen, the property looks old and has scope of renovation. Overall, it was pleasant stay….
