Wind Yard Resort - Wayanad

Visited on 23 December 2023 Check in 2pm check out 12pm but not so strict about it 30 mins here and there fine. Book directly from given number on Google maps for Better prices 4k to 6k based on your visit time. Rooms are very good 👍 spacious equiped with AC, TV, lake view balcony and sit out, 24*7 pool access when we visited, clean and tidy common areas. Mountain view rooms also have balcony but we booked lake view. You get all morning fresh up kit in bathroom. Location: This is just at Bank of banasura Dam. View is awesome if possible take Lake view room in 1 or 2 nd floor. Just 2 kms from banasura Dam. This might not be a very big resort but has all needed thing for the price I felt ,it has small garden and sit out and kids swing facing lake side. Service is awesome helpers are very obedient and helped in getting all luggage in. Food: When we have visited breakfast was included and it has small restaurant downstairs food was delicious not too many varieties though but food prepared had good taste. We got chole bhature, idli, bread jam, live counter for omlet, cereals, milk ,coffee, tea and fruit juice. Early morning coffee I feel missing of they can add it will be great. In room service available for dinner but we need to inform 1 hour before and max by 9pm. We order veg it was good

Visited in Oct-2022. This is not a resort. It is just a hotel with 10 rooms. Just has a swimming pool, a dining area and a small ground. Good points: * Nice rooms with a beautiful view of Banasura from the balcony. * Accessible from the main road, but the last few minutes of drive is on non-tarred road. * Friendly staff and manager. * Terrace view is good. One can spend some good time here in the evenings. Needs Improvement: * They do not have a restaurant. Food is to be pre-ordered from outside by the staff. This makes eating options severely limited. Breakfast is complimentary but the no. of items and quantity is insufficient. Food was of average taste, some items were oily and over fried. * Parking available only for about 3 cars though they have rooms for up to 10 families. * Service is poor. Shortage of bath towels. Kettle in the room was not working. * While booking experience is quite friendly, the rooms promised during booking and the rooms allotted during check-in were different despite booking 6 weeks in advance. That's disappointing. And they are unapologetic about it. While the staff and the manager are friendly, their service is below average. Possibly a lack of management has led to such mediocre experience for the guests. If you are just looking for rooms with a nice view, then you can check this place. Do not expect great service, good eating experience and hospitality.

Visited last month. It is just a hotel and not a resort. A very small property. What we liked? - Spacious room with a nice balcony. Great views from the room and balcony. - View from the terrace is also good - Friendly staff and manager What was not good? - Accessible from the main road, but the last leg of the drive is on non-tarred road. - They don’t have a restaurant. The staff takes orders and provides food from outside. This makes the overall eating experience not very satisfactory. Breakfast is complimentary but the quantity is a bit less. Some items in Lunch and Dinner were good, others were not tasty. No local delicacies served. Average taste, some items were poor. - Parking is insufficient. Available only for about 3 cars though they have 10 rooms. - Service is lacking standards. There was no kettle in the room. - The bathroom had spiders and cockroaches roaming around on the walls. - On the 2nd day there was no water in one of the bathrooms. The maintenance staff could not fix it till checkout. We had to use the bathroom from another room. Stay here only if you are looking for good rooms with a nice view. What could have a great place and wonderful experience was not meant to be due to the compromise on food, service and hospitality. 2 for the resort, 3 for the efforts of staff

Nice place for quiet stay. Just in front of Banasura sagar dam, not crowded, just another hotel/resort nearby. Room were good with a Balcony with windy breeze from Banasura Sagar Dam. Food was pathetic with limited option. Only they had good option for Breakfast...lunch n dinner they have limited option. It's not any star hotel but overall quiet stay if you want peace, view with your loved ones.

Visited a month back. This is not really a resort. It is built like a hotel. No other facilities like that of a resort. What is nice here? # Good rooms with great views from the balcony. # Located in a quiet place away from road. # Helpful staff and friendly manager. What needs to be improved? # There is no restaurant. Food is ordered from outside by their staff. This makes eating options and experience not very satisfactory. The no. of items and quantity is insufficient in complimentary breakfast. Food overall was of average taste, some items were poor. Not many options for vegetarians. # Not much parking space for all the guests. # Service is slow and poor. No kettle was provided in the room, though it was provided for other rooms. # The room had 4 spiders roaming around on the walls all night, one was almost the size of a giant butterfly. # 2nd day onwards there was water only in the shower and not in taps. could not be fixed till checkout. Stay here only if you are just looking for good rooms with a nice view and are ok to compromise on food and other facilities.

It's great experience to have such a friendly atmosphere and Staff. Awesome rooms with lake view as stress buster. Received a good welcome from the manager Renjith Sir with a loving heart. Hats off to Renjith sir for his love, support, guidance to see many areas. We had been there for 3 days, and we enjoyed a good time. Staff are very polite and humble. They attended us and met our needs when ever we needed. Good breakfast we had and a good dinner also. We enjoyed the special food exclusively prepared for us with loads of love. Expecting more Kerala type foods in future. In one word WE FELT LIKE OUR HOME during the stay . Thanks to all the team

Visited recently. This is just a small hotel named as a resort. No resort like facilities. --------------------------------------------------- What is good? - Airy rooms with a great view of Banasura lake from the balcony - Manager and staff are friendly - View from the terrace is good - Located in a quiet place ---------------------------------------------------- What needs Improvement? - No restaurant. Food has to be ordered from outside by the staff. Complimentary breakfast - quantity is insufficient. Lunch was not good, dinner was ok. Not many options for Wayanad / Kerala cuisine provided. - Service is slow and poor. On the 2nd day, they ran short of bath towels and after some convincing, they provided just 1 towel. - There were cockroaches and spiders in the bathroom. - Booking experience is ok, but not managed well - since they don't keep track of advance requests, whatever rooms are left, get allotted to the guests, despite booking in advance. ---------------------------------------------- In its present avatar, this is a good example of how a great place can become average by lack of management. Stay here if you are just looking for good rooms with a nice view, do not expect any good food, service and hospitality.

The rooms were very clean and neat with excellent view from balcony. The manager was very very kind and helpful. The smile on face will be remembered always. Good service boys as well. Overall a great experience. Will plan for my next stay here
