Issac’s Hotel The Resort

Don't be puzzled by the name "The Resort" is the name of the Hotel and this is probably the oldest in town for amenities. You will find spacious rooms and a very neat restaurant for families and bachelors alike. The only challenge is the bar on the same building but the management has done their best to restrict any hassles from people from the bar. The location of the hotel is the best and since they do not have many rooms, it usually gets filled in fast.

I stayed here last week for two days and I have to say the rooms you are getting here is impeccable compared to the price. One more thing which surprised me is the hotel staffs. They are very friendly, listens to every query and always smiling. The hotel is in the middle of Bathery market in which you can shop and eat local cuisines. The hotel also provides good food at reasonable price. I’ll suggest you should check them.

Though we did not stay here..we stopped for lunch at their restaurant. This was at about 1.30 PM ( peak lunch time). The restaurant is small room with some 5 tables and gets cramped. When we entered , there were 2 families already waiting for their order to be taken. No one even bothered to take anyone's order for 10 minutes. Then one guest went and made a complaint at the front desk and they took the order. It took a very long time for the food to get served and we had asked for Kerala Meals ( supposedly there speciality) and all the items were COLD. The rice was not served along with the meals till I lost my cool with the waiter. And then one dish that we asked for was not served till again I started ranting. No one asked for any more accompaniments with the meals ( no sambar, veggies etc). Lastly, when the bill came they had overcharged me ( Fish Curry Meals instead of Vegetarian Meals) but i was just too upset to argue any more. PLEASE do not eat here. Even the quality of food is bad.

We did not stay at this hotel, but stopped for lunch at their restaurant. The property looked promising but this was far from the truth. The restaurant itself is a small room with 5 or 6 cramped tables. When we got in at about 1.30 PM ( peak lunch time) there were already 2 groups seated. We waited for 10 minutes and then realized that no one's order had been taken. Then one of the guests made went to the front desk and complained. Soon, our order was taken. However, it took an inordinate amount of time for the food to be served ( more than 45 minutes) . We had asked for Kerala Meals and a side dish of chicken. The served the side dishes for the meals and it was all COLD . Then no rice was served with the meal until I raised my voice !!! Even then our side dish of chicken was not served and again I had to complain. Overall even the food quality was not good. Finally when the bill came, they had charged me for Fish Curry Meals whereas I had only Veggie Meals. But i was too tired to argue any more. Overall, it felt they had a horrible kitchen staff and really non existent restaurant staff. PLEASE give this place a wide berth if you happen to be in Sultan Bathery (Wayanad Dist).

Itz a hotel with BAR.. So Rooms have Alcohol smell. Ceiling Fan didn't work in the room we booked. Guy at reception was saying like it's not a problem and room boy was rude as well. At last the manger arranged a discount of 200 Rs. We asked to fill a water bottle, when we drank water it tasted like Tap water..
