M R Beach And Cottages

Our stay was very comfortable and satisfying, and we're very happy with the experience. The place is budget friendly with polite staff, clean environment, delicious food and quick service round the clock. The area is quite easy to access and I'd fully recommend this place to family and friends.

Very pathetic stay I ever had. Rooms were not at all clean. Damaged door lock as well as Bath room lock. No hot water provided. No toiletries were provided., Not even a blanket. When we asked for blankets they said it was given to other guests. Very rude behaviour from the staff. He was talking as like we went there to stay for free. Switching plugs were not in working condition. Floors and toilets were not clean. Overall u don't deserve a single star.

Fantastic beach side accommodation, comprising beach bungalows and 8 apartments. The on site chef is excellent and they even provide a sterile water fountain so you don't have to buy bottles of water and clog the planet up with plastic! Prices are fair and middle market at around £20/night. The beach is reasonably clean by Indian standards and mostly deserted. We came for 4 nights and stayed 9....recommended.

Nice ambience, and right next to the beach. That's the only good thing about this place. There was some talk about new management. They are clueless about the basics of hospitality industry and serve customers. Simple amenities such as towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, floor mats, bins, mineral water, etc are not provided. Staff are generally lethargic and non-responsive, neither is there any proper managerial oversight. They did not clean or do our beds daily. Some staff even turned up drunk. They took 3 hrs to get us dinner on day-1 after which we decided not to dine in. Access to beach is a bit dangerous for kids and elderly,as one has to cross a thin coconut log over a moat filled with dirty water.

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, we rented a scooter for 350 rupees a day and any other wishes like an umbrella for the beach, were fulfilled. This is an ayurvedic hotel and you can book treatments if you like, the cook cooks ayurvedic dishes and no alcohol is served. The rooms and cottages are very clean and get cleaned if you wish. The beach is very nice, nobody's there, sometimes some Indian couples and families walk around. If you're into silence, this is the place.

They tend to cancel the booking at the last moment citing a reason that they don't have enough staff to clean the room/premises. It seems like as if, it is the costomers need to get them the sufficient staff to function. Wake up M R Resorts, every business is customer driven, once the customer walks out due to bad service, never ever again he/she's gonna come back to you. You arrange the staff to get you're resort functioning rather that mentioning this lame reason in order to cancel the bookings. Varkala being a centred tourist spot, this kind of lame reasons might effect your business in the long run.

Lovely place to spend time with your friends and family. You can enjoy the beach view from the portico. Don't miss to spend your evening in the beach. Staffs were very friendly and responded to our needs. We hired bike from there to roam around. We haven't tried the food there but ordered for black tea and coffee and it was really good.

We stayed there for some nights in september and it was the perfect place to relax and chill. Very friendly manager, familiar and very helpful. we forgot some important IDs in madurai and they organized everything to get them back. Thank you Thomas! ||If you are looking for a quite, peaceful place and want to get away from the noisy cities, this is the place to be. the beach is directly in front of the house (you can see it from your balcony) and you will never meet more than 10 people.
