Monsoon Grande Munnar

• Stayed in Munnar for 2N/3D and loved the peaceful vibe of the Anachal area away from the crowded town. • The road to the hotel is narrow and steep, so reaching at night can be a little tricky. • Spacious rooms with a separate living area and open verandah overlooking beautiful tea gardens — the view was absolutely mesmerising. • Staff were warm, helpful, and quick with service. Food was tasty, though the breakfast spread was limited. • Room maintenance could be better as some interiors and furniture felt a bit dated. • Overall, a comfortable and scenic stay for anyone looking to relax amidst nature in Munnar.

There were sooooo beautiful view from the roof top. Staffs were so kind and they provided some good activities to enjoy Munnar. My dom was near the reception so it was a bit noisy during the night party but I had a great stay!

Pros:|1. Both the quality and taste of the food served for breakfast were great.|2. The guests of this hotel have a special option of entering into the tea estate to capture some nice photos and enjoy the tea plantation view.|3. Though there is less parking space available within the premises, the hotel management has one more parking lot just 50 meters away where guests can park their vehicles.||Cons:|1. In the cold mountain places, you can't wait for hot water to come through pipe in the bathroom for 2 to 3 minutes from the centralized geyser. Each room should have separate geysers so that the guests can use hot water as and when they want. The auto cut-off geysers can save the electricity as well for the hotel. Hence, the hotel management should have fitted separate geysers to each room instead of the centralized one.|2. Online food delivery (swiggy / zomato) service is not available at this place. So even if you want to have some different food, you have to go out and find some restaurant. The restaurant that the hotel has serves food according to their menu.|3. Even the suite rooms are dirty.|4. The road reaching the hotel is very narrow. It is difficult to give space to the vehicle coming from the opposite direction. So do not think of bringing your own vehicle.|5. There is no tissue roll stand in the bathroom of room no.304.|6. You can not enjoy the night view of tea gardens located near the hotel. Because there is a high mast light fitted by hotel management and focused towards the tea garden all night.|7. The hotel does not have blankets. All they have are thick rajaais, which awakens you during midnight because of overheating.|8. There is no hot water supply to wash basins.|9. No wash basin in the suite room. For hand wash as well, you should enter the bathroom and use the bathroom's wash basin.|10. No hand wash given even in suite room|11. The bedside switchboard does not have plugs on it. People usually charge their mobile while using it on bed, which is not possible here.

Excellent stay! Monsoon Grande is one of the best places to stay in Munnar. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the views were absolutely stunning, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food and service were excellent, and the entire experience was smooth and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Munnar. We would definitely stay here again!

Good hotel with courteous staff and beautiful tea garden views. The peaceful surroundings and scenery were definitely the highlight of the stay. However, the hotel is located far from the city center, so travelling to tourist spots takes a lot of time. The approach road is also narrow and difficult for cars to pass comfortably. If you prefer nature and a peaceful stay, this is a good option. But for easy city access and saving travel time, staying closer to the center would be better.
