Thottom Stays Vagamon

We had an excellent stay at Thottom Resort, Vagamon. The staff were very cooperative, friendly, and always willing to help. The food was also delicious and exceeded our expectations. We experienced a minor issue with water availability, but it was resolved immediately after we informed the staff, which we really appreciated. The maintenance could be improved in a few areas, but the overall cleanliness of the resort was good. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in Vagamon

We are extremely sorry for bringing up these concerns, and we sincerely apologize if anything we mention here hurts anyone’s feelings. Our intention is not to offend anyone, but simply to share our genuine experience so that the management and future guests are aware of the issues we faced. After doing extensive research, we chose Thottom Resort for our family staycation on August 2026, mainly because of the photos and videos they shared with us. Unfortunately, our actual experience was completely different from what we expected. Based on our stay, I would rate the resort only 3 out of 10. Our rooms were 302 and 301, which were located upstairs. We had specifically informed the resort during the chekin that we were travelling with elderly family members and children and requested rooms on a lower floor. However, we were told that this was not possible. The rooms and overall safety arrangements were extremely disappointing. There was water leakage inside the room, and the stairs were very steep and unsafe. Unfortunately, our child even fell down the stairs from a height of around 3 metres. Thankfully, by God's grace, there were no major injuries apart from scratches on his back and arms. This was a very frightening experience for our family and raised serious concerns about the safety of the property, especially for children and elderly guests. The service was another major disappointment. Due to a lack of water, we were left waiting in the washroom for 1 hour and 16 minutes. We tried calling the manager around 6–10 times, but he did not respond. When we finally saw him several hours later, he explained that there was apparently an issue with his phone speaker. Regardless of the reason, we expected at least a call back after seeing multiple missed calls, especially when guests were facing an urgent problem. There were also no staff members available at the reception during the night, which made it difficult to get assistance when needed. The rooms had no AC and no landline phones. The upstairs rooms also had water leaking through the windows. The dining area was filled with water and became extremely slippery, which was another serious safety concern.. Overall, the accommodation, maintenance, safety and customer service were far below what we expected based on the photos and videos shown to us before booking. That said, the location of the property is beautiful, and the food was quite tasty. However, the food options were very limited. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful surroundings and good food, the safety issues and poor service overshadowed the positive aspects of our stay. I would not recommend this resort for families, particularly those travelling with children or elderly people.

Best places to stay with the family/ Friends as well. The room was too larger than the normal rooms. Prices also affordable. Swimming poll & playing room was excellent. Staffs are very polite & reacting immediately on our queries.

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing due to several basic service and safety issues. There was no water available in the toilet, and bath towels were not provided. The service call facility was also unavailable, making it difficult to get assistance when needed. During the rain, rainwater was coming into the room, which was very inconvenient. We even had to go to the restaurant ourselves to collect drinking water. The pool facilities also need significant improvement. There was no hot water in the pool, no changing room near the pool area, and the pool did not feel safe. Overall, the hotel needs to improve its basic amenities, maintenance, service, and safety standards. Given these issues, the experience did not meet our expectations.

The overall expence in the hotel is good and the staffs are also having good behaviour. The only problem is the way to the hotel is very bad. The lock of bathroom is not good. There is no dress changing room near pool area.
