Akshay Beach Resort provided a truly wonderful holiday experience! 🏖️ The service was impeccable, and the location was absolutely stunning. While the rooms were good, the overall stay was fantastic. I highly recommend it! ✨💖 PS- Only complaint is we didn't get hot water. Apart from that, amazing.

There’s a phrase in Indian hospitality: Atithi Devo Bhava — “The guest is god.” Akshay treated me like a goddess. They offered me a beautiful room at a generous price and truly tended to every need. I caught a small bug during my stay; when I didn’t emerge from my room for a day, they quietly sent someone to check on me. That kind of care is rare. The staff helped with everything — finding supplies, giving directions, arranging my taxi to the airport. They refilled my water bottles daily, sparing me from contributing more plastic to the world. Everyone greeted me with a warm smile and a gentle “How are you, madam?” and I felt cared for in every way. My room was spacious and lovely, with an excellent air conditioner. There was a little fridge, and they brought me a kettle and a mug for my essential predawn coffee. Nothing I asked for was ever refused. I felt truly welcomed here. And the patio — I loved that space. It sits right above the street, so there’s a steady flow of life passing by, but I was tucked behind a railing and plants, mostly shielded from view. It gave me the rare pleasure of being on my own while still feeling connected to the pulse of Varkala. I spent so many hours there writing, sipping tea, and taking in the world. The beach is just a short walk down a lively lane full of shops and cafés. Varkala has many dogs, and while that can sometimes be hard to witness, the dogs here are cared for. I watched a team feeding the beach dogs, making sure the shy ones weren’t pushed aside. It told me a lot about the heart of this place. Varkala Beach is rich with culture, tradition, and spirituality. I’ve loved my time here and am truly sad to be leaving tomorrow. Come to Varkala. Stay at Akshay. It’s a place where kindness is a daily ritual, and guests are treated with genuine devotion.

I booked the hotel online and they even took the payment online. I reached the place after a long tiring drive and reached to find out, they don't even allow us to wear our own slippers, and the bathroom was also so unclean and neither was there any bathroom slippers. This is the worst experience, no slippers even in the reception, and there is also no staff to take your luggage in a long and high stairs. This is the worst hotel ever. Never visit.

Don't ever book this room in varkala, one of the worst room and also worst service we ever had. I have gone for the holiday to varkala, we booked room here, after booking the room there is no respone from them. They not even taking calls, if we send message to them, they will reply later. Worst things we faced there: 1) No proper response not attending phone calls 2) When we go there there is no one in reception we ask for the last who work there and ask her to call them 3) Once we entered the room, they asked us to pay the full amount and forced to pay it once we entered the room 4) While opening the cupboard, the cupboard full of liquor smell, they don't even clean it properly. 5) The bed mattress are so hard, it's feel like sleeping on flat surface 6) Fan not fast and also make noise fully, we informed him regarding the noise, they stated they will work on it, but it's not done, we are boat ableto sleep properly. *** KINDLY NO ONE BOOK HERE, IF YOU WANT SPOIL YOUR TRIP, THE. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HERE ** ***NOTE HE WILL EDIT HIS REPLY LATER AFTER SEEING THIS **** This comment after he reply to my comments. I will list the points below. 1) First of all I this is not a cooked up stories.Actually he cooked it well the reply. 2) Don't Even anyone think a room for 1000, he charged me nearly 12.5k for 3 non AC rooms for 2 days - it cost 2083 per non AC room not 1000. 3) Before taking payment he said he showed the room - When we go there we not even see him, actually there is no one at the reception. There is a lady who worked there we informed the lady to call someone, then he called a boy who not even the "Person who replied here". 4) I don't know why he mentioned we provide 1000 rooms for couplesl, we go as a family. 5) If fan can't fix it at night, why he can' fix at morning, then he speak about the cleanliness, then we faced the liquor smell in the cupboard, he need to clean that properly too right. 6) We don't ask for 500, we paid 2083 for a single room and it's don't even worth it. We stayed for 2 nights there. It’s in a prime spot of south cliff and staffs were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy. Heater and AC worked properly and had a pleasant stay there.
