Loved staying at Karthikha Plaza, Varkala! This was actually my second time here (I stayed last year too), and it felt so nice to be back again. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything is simple but well maintained, which makes the stay really relaxing. The property is beautifully surrounded by plants and greenery, giving it such a peaceful and refreshing vibe — you really feel close to nature. The best part is the warm and friendly hospitality. They even served us homemade food, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, tasty, and made with so much love. It truly felt like home. A special mention to the owner, Mr. Rajeesh — he is extremely humble, caring, and personally makes sure guests are comfortable. His kindness and personal attention really make the stay extra special. Definitely recommending this place and would happily stay here again! 😊

Stayed at Karthika Plaza resort for a day. Had a wonderful experience. Excellent place to stay. Rooms are clean and spacious. Pollution free & well-maintained property. Short walk / drive to the beach & cliff. Traditional & authentic homestay atmosphere. People are friendly and attend to the needs on priority. Appreciate their customer service and great staying there. This is my first visit to Varkala and turned to be the best because of the hospitality.

What a joy to be back at Karthika Plaza Resort. The lovely management and staff make you feel more than welcome from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and are comfortable and functional. The gardens offer a feeling of tranquility and yet the hotel is situated a fifteen minute walk or a five minute rickshaw ride to either the North Cliff or the the amazing and atmospheric 2000 year old temple. Yes I did say 2000 years old and still functioning! For Westerners this hotel and its situation offers so much more than your average hotel stay on the busy and boisterous cliff top. Apart from the incredible service which I’ve already covered a Westerner (like me) will notice the real Indian experience offered. Lots of the other guests are Indian ( mostly families) and believe me once you sit down for a chat with them you’ll find it difficult to get up again. If you decide to walk to the cliff or Temple a few times, before long the people who live in the really nice villas along the way will be out of their houses to say hello. Even car drivers or motorcyclists once they see you a few times may stop and offer a lift. I even had a free ride from a rickshaw driver! So any of you Westerners reading this review I really recommend you give this place serious consideration. It’s a cliché to use the expression a “hidden gem” but in this case it’s definitely warranted.

We had a wonderful stay at Karthika Plaza Resort, Varkala. The peaceful ambience, green surroundings, and well-maintained rooms made our stay truly comfortable and relaxing. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional — always courteous, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile. The food served was delicious, and homely especially veg version,adding to the overall pleasant experience. Thank you Mr Rajeesh and Syed for making our stay memorable. We truly appreciate the warmth and care extended to us and would gladly recommend Karthika Plaza Resort to anyone visiting Varkala.
