Away from the traffic and the hustle bustle of the city, the large rooms of the retreat and its sprawling open ground along with the warm hospitality make it an ideal place to unwind. Madhuvan is located bang opposite the road which leads to Pawan khind and Vishalgad. The food was delicious and the ambience, very homely. Not to mention the prompt replies by the owners at the time of our enquiry. I would love to visit this place once every couple of months just to relax and reset.

Set in the estate of erstwhile royalty the Pant Pratinidhi, the accommodation consists of just four rooms in the colonial style with sit outs and old style chairs. The dining hall is just a few steps away and serves kolhapuri and malvani , extra spicy veg and non veg food. The whole camp is surrounded by kush vegetation and is protected by an electric fence to keep away bisons which freely roam the property and there are snake repellants placed around the property. So careful when stepping out. Highly reccomended for a tranquil weekend
