Discover Resort Khandala

This Property was earlier called Misty Hills Hotel and has just been taken over by Discovery Resorts Karjat on a Management Contract for the next 5 years. It is located on the main Mumbai-Pune Old Highway next to the Meritas Crystal Resort. The Property is quite large with 2 separate Blocks accommodating a total of around 50 Rooms – Deluxe Couple Rooms, Suite Rooms and Family Rooms, all of which have been Renovated and the Mattresses, Pillows, Linen, etc are all New and of Very Good Quality, the Bathroom Fittings are all New, there is 24x7 Hot Water available in the Bathrooms, an Electric Kettle with supplies is provided in all Rooms, a Mini Fridge (without a Freezer to make Ice) has been provided in some rooms, a Wardrobe, Dressing Table with Mirror & Study Table with Chair is available in all Rooms as well. However, the AC’s are mostly the same and have not been Properly Serviced, so some of them may not work properly, Oil Paint has been sprayed over all the Wall Tiles in the Bathroom which may not last very long, Wood Grain Design Linoleum has been pasted over the Floor Tiles in the Rooms and most other areas which also tend to wear out soon, there is no TV or Intercom/Phone in any of the Rooms, the Reflector Coating on the Room Window Glasses has got Patchy and hence the View Outside from the Rooms is not Clear & the Window Glasses appear to be Dirty/Unclean, the Swimming Pool in the Main Wing is quite large, with an attached Children’s Pool and Rain Dance Area as well, but the Depth of the Water is only 2.5 Feet in the Main Pool and 2 Feet in the Children’s Pool, making it almost impossible to Swim in such a Shallow Pool. There however is another Pool in the Second Wing which is Short in Length, but has a Depth of 4.5 Feet, which is good for Swimming. However, both Pools are not Cleaned Regularly and hence the water in them can sometimes be Cloudy. The Restaurant is next to the Main Swimming Pool, but barring 3 Tables which are of the Correct Height, all other Tables are quite low, making it a bit uncomfortable to eat at. A Pool Table and Table Tennis Table have also been placed in the Restaurant which is a bit odd, as there is plenty of space elsewhere to create a Play/Games Zone. There is a Very Large Open Area next to the Lobby with a separate Toilet Area which can be converted to a Large Conference Hall. In addition, there is another Conference Hall available next to the Restaurant which can also be put to good use if they start promoting Corporate Conferences, Meetings, etc. Since it is just over a month since they’ve taken over, they have yet to get their act together and prepare/implement proper SOP’s for managing this Property well, but they are in the process of doing so and should hopefully be fully prepared in the next couple of months or so. There is adequate Parking available and the Security is good. The Resort Manager and all the Staff are Well Trained, Very Courteous and Helpful as well, making all Guests feel Very Comfortable. Since we were the only Guests most of the time, Buffet Breakfast was not made available, but we were offered a decent choice of items and the Food was Freshly Prepared and Tasty as well. All in all a good place to stay at once they overcome their Initial Teething Issues and get their act together, but since they do not have a Gym or many other Activities, they are a Nice, Cozy Little Hotel, but cannot be called a Resort. If you do not go with too many expectations, you will enjoy your stay here.

Just got back from my stay at Discover Resorts in Khandala, and it was fantastic! This place is newly opened and has quickly become my go-to spot for a relaxing getaway. The pool is beautiful and just the perfect place to unwind with a great view, and the poolside restaurant serves delicious food that complements the serene setting perfectly. The rooms are not only modern but also spacious and super comfortable – definitely loved the vibe. Plus, the staff was genuinely kind and made sure check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a budget-friendly stay with all the perks!

If you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, Discover Resorts in Khandala is a must-visit! This newly opened gem offers everything from stunning pool views to modern, stylish interiors. I stayed in one of their beautifully designed rooms, which was spacious and cozy – perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. I really appreciated the attentive staff, who made sure my check-in and check-out were a breeze. The poolside restaurant was also a highlight, with delicious dishes and a great atmosphere. And the best part? It’s all surprisingly budget-friendly! Can't wait to come back.

I recently stayed at Discover Resort in Lonavala and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located amidst the scenic greenery, making it a serene getaway from the city. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering all the modern amenities one could need.||The staff was exceptionally polite and attentive, ensuring our comfort throughout the stay. The dining options were diverse, offering everything from local specialties to international cuisine. Our stay was truly amazing! Food: 10/10 Rooms: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 Location: 10/10 Though it's not as large as the Karjat location, this site more than makes up for it with an incredible setting and top-notch service. The entertainment options were fantastic—especially the comedy show, live music, and magic show, which added a unique touch to our experience. I highly recommend visiting this location! It’s newly opened, so while a few additional services may still be in the works, the staff handles any requests promptly and professionally. Recommendation: Pool could have been bigger for adults.
