Radha Cottage Heritage Resort

Pretty much a perfect stay! The resort is beautiful, the room was spacious and neat, the staff were all very cordial, the food was impeccable! They had great music in the dining room as well. We also had a seamless booking experience, with everything done right on WhatsApp chat itself. They also gave us a well made guide on things to do in Matheran, and how to reach the property. ||The pool is well maintained, but there’s monkey menace sometimes. They’re not much of a problem unless you have some food in front of them. The property is located in a quiet and untouched corner of Matheran, with dense forests all around, and good accessibility to nearby view points. This is a great place to visit around monsoons, especially with all the mist and the clouds that make it so dreamy!

Just got back from a stay at Radha Cottage in Matheran and honestly, it was exactly the break I needed. The resort is tucked away in nature, super peaceful, and the views were beautiful. The staff made us feel right at home, and the food was really tasty—especially the local dishes. Our room was clean, cozy, and had a nice vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can truly switch off and relax. Would definitely go back!

We stayed for 3 days at Radha Cottage, Matheran as a family with kids, and it was a truly memorable experience. On the first day, we chose the Deluxe Villa, which was spacious, had a private sit-out, and felt ideal for larger families looking for privacy and comfort. For the next two days, we moved to the Rose Heritage Rooms, and I absolutely loved them. The heritage vibe, peaceful surroundings, and the overall charm of the place made our stay very special.||If you’re someone who prefers being away from the hustle and bustle of the station and wants a serene environment surrounded by lush forests, this is the perfect place. It’s not a luxury 5-star property, but the hospitality here makes you feel at home. The team ensures you have everything you need, with thoughtful amenities and warm service.||The highlight of our stay was definitely the food. Every meal was cooked with love and care—both veg and non-veg options were delicious. We even enjoyed seafood here! The breakfast spread was fantastic, and I still miss the dipped vada-sambar, sabudana khichdi, puran polis, and the authentic Maharashtrian curries and vegetables. My child needed milk in a bottle, and the staff provided it for us whenever we asked, which meant a lot.||A special mention to Santaji, Narendra, Padma, and Santosh—they were all incredibly cooperative and made sure our experience was smooth from the moment we booked. They not only took care of our stay but also guided us with travel plans and helped us plan our itinerary.||We also had a look at their new Windsor rooms, which were modern and nicely done, especially with good bathrooms. But for us, the Rose Heritage rooms worked out perfectly since they were close to the dining area and the pool, plus we enjoyed relaxing on the veranda.||The only suggestion I’d make is to upgrade the TVs to Smart TVs in all rooms—this would be a nice touch for guests who want to enjoy some downtime indoors. Apart from that, everything was well taken care of. There were a few short power cuts, but nothing that really disrupted our stay.||Overall, we truly enjoyed our time at Radha Cottage. The combination of peaceful surroundings, homely hospitality, and delicious food made it one of our best stays in Matheran. Thank you to the entire team for giving us such a wonderful experience!

IF you are looking for peace quiet and fantastic food then go here!||The location is just lovely and everything that Matheran was and remains in pockets; this is one of the pockets. ||The staff here are just so helpful; going above and beyond! Traveled with older people and they were really helpful with ensuring assistance walking to and from the cottage in the rain + getting meals sent to the cottage when raining too heavily. Its all down to the manager Mr More! His presence ensures smooth running.

Our stay at Radha Heritage Resort was truly one of the most memorable experiences. My wife surprised me with a birthday getaway at Matheran, and we opted for the Superior Forest View Room with a balcony. 🌿✨||Though the resort is located at the far end of Matheran, that actually made our stay more peaceful, away from the local noise. The room was super clean and well-maintained, and the management was very supportive right from the start. They guided us perfectly from the Matheran entrance to the resort and even allowed us a late check-out on request. 🙏||The staff deserves a special mention – extremely helpful, attentive to every little request, and always patient. They even connected us with a local who arranged horses for us to explore various scenic points in Matheran. 🐎💚||The corridor decoration for my birthday was superb 🎉, and the cake was absolutely delicious 🎂. Since our birthday celebration wrapped up late and we barely got any sleep, the resort generously extended our checkout timing by an extra hour – a thoughtful gesture that made all the difference.||Cleanliness 🌟, customer support 🌟, and service 🌟 – all top-notch! The non-veg food was also very good. Overall, Radha Heritage is surely a must-visit stay in Matheran if you’re looking for comfort, peace, and excellent hospitality. ❤️

Overall experience is good. Staffs are very supportive. Rooms are clean. Best time to visit is monsoon. Food quality and quantity is extremely good.||But if you are with your gang and planning to have some drinks and wanted to have you food little late then this is not the place. Owner is extremely rigid with the food timings and does not allow food except starters inside the room. Specially dinner timing is 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Despite a storm like no other which enveloped Matheran with torrential rain, we had a wonderful time with Mr. Narendra ji taking care of all our needs. As Ferozeshah Mehta's getaway cottage, this place is ripe with history and heritage, and every nook of its compound conceals whispers of its past. Rooms and cozy and the food is absolutely delicious (though the portions can be really large if you get the table service experience).||Highly recommend Radha Cottage for anyone wanting to get comfortably away from the hustling chaos of the market, and towards a more serene and peaceful side of Matheran.
