Best location in Sum, surrounded by sand dunes. Staff is very humble and co-operative, awesome place to see sunrise and sunset. Also you can enjoy camel safari and cultural program here.

Dont confused it with the famous Sam Dhani Resort. It's RTDC Shyamdhani Resort. Just okay. Better then some other RTDC Hotels of Bikaner, Jodhpur

We stayed in cottage though booked tents because tents were not at all impressive. It was okay. People were very courteous. Food was good. Camel safari too was exciting. Cultural program was entertaining. Overall it was a nice stay for a night.

Two Swiss Tents were booked at Rs. 7000/- each for one night on 28/12/2023. In one word, DO NOT EVEN THINK TO RESERVE OR BOOK RTDC SAM DHANI. Let me break it down - 1. The tents were never cleaned, the inside tent clothing were filthy, had stains all over, and in several places torn and leaking air from outside, 2. Top portion of the tents had huge gaps, through which cold air gushes inside, 3. No room heaters, 4. Floor was dirty, 5. Were given only one blanket, not an extra one even upon request. So we had to deal with it for one night. At night the temperature fell to near 5-7C, and we could not even sleep, next morning all of us had a terrible headache. Had it not been for the exceptional camel safari, and the sunrise in the early morning, our whole desert experience would have been a disaster. The only good thing was the cultural program, which I liked. The food served seemed like foods which were served to the camel, were also made for us, kadri had no kadhri, chicken curry had everything except chicken, so we had to take only daal and rice. Stay away from this Hotel. There are several luxurious tents and cottages in the Sam desert, maybe even at a cheaper price.

My entire experience at RTDC's Sam Dhani during November 2023 was terrible. The toilets in tents weren't clean, had to repeatedly call the hotel staff to clean it and they wouldn't clean it properly. The towel bar, glass panes and accessories were either broken or fallen off inside the toilet. Everytime, we would ask the hotel staff about anything, they would say, the hotel is just opening for the tourist season in October, so it will take time for facilities to be fixed. The hotel staff weren't polite nor very cooperative. I would not recommend any tourist to stay at this RTDC hotel and would suggest they try out some of the private camps in San dunes.

Stayed at this place. Rooms were properly cleaned. It is situated in the top of all the desert camp tent. The view is so good. Most important the taste of the food is awesome.

Most Horrible. We were served stale food. Dinner was cooked out of rotten vegetables. Without asking they do not provide anything in the tent. Tea kettles privided had only a foot long cable that does not reach wall mounted power points. Staff is polite, but do not have right stuff to serve. Will never go to an RTDC hotel ever.
