I stayed at a desert camp in Sam, Jaisalmer for 2 days, and honestly, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so welcoming and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked with so much care. The evenings were magical with folk dance and cultural performances, full of energy and joy. We enjoyed every moment and felt completely immersed in the desert vibes. What truly made this stay special was the hospitality. The staff was incredibly polite, helpful, and always smiling. A special mention to the owner, Salim Bhai — such a warm, humble, and cool person. Meeting him felt less like meeting an owner and more like meeting family. Overall, the experience was full of comfort, culture, and heartfelt hospitality. Whenever I come back to Sam Sand Dunes, this camp will definitely be my first choice again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a genuine and memorable desert stay.

In Feb 2026 , I visited Jaisalmer with my family and I want to share my thoughts on this. The experience was really mesmerising. I found this desert camp via recommendation of a close friend and I must tell that the level of luxury I have experienced through their hospitality is really really excellent. I mean the exotic location , desert safari while riding camel, desert bike and gypsy that was on another level and what to say about the food it was really delicious with utmost priority to hygiene and cleanliness. My overall experience was really magical so this is my appreciation for the staff the hospitality and the adventures of Rajputana Desert Camp.. Thanks for the experience, I will surely like to visit here again.. 😊♥️

Our stay at Rajputana Desert Camp was average overall, with some good experiences but several areas that could be improved. The camp is pure vegetarian, which suited us well. The resort helped organize the desert safari, which cost ₹3,500 for a jeep and camel ride, with ATV rides at an additional ₹1,100 per ride. The safari itself was very enjoyable and well managed, and was the highlight of our stay. The pre-dinner cultural program, however, was slow and a bit boring in the first half. The most engaging performance was the fire eater’s act, which stood out. Unfortunately, there were no bonfires or heaters during the evening program, and everyone was sitting out in the bitter cold, which significantly reduced enjoyment. Since the camp is projected as a family-friendly venue, the presence of alcohol during the evening felt uncomfortable, especially for elderly parents. That said, credit where due—the hosts were thoughtful enough to ensure families could eat dinner peacefully while the intoxicated crowd continued dancing with the performers. The bathrooms were not clean, with visible paan stains on the walls, though this may partly be due to the behavior of other visitors rather than staff negligence alone. The property felt safe, the safari was genuinely good, but the night temperatures were extremely cold. A room heater or even basic heating arrangements would have made a big difference to comfort. Overall, this is a decent option for the safari experience, but expectations around comfort, cleanliness, and family-friendly ambience should be managed—especially during winter.

I recently visited Rajputana Desert Camp, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality and traditional Rajasthani welcome made us feel special. The tents were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a perfect blend of comfort and authenticity. Despite being in the heart of the desert, all modern amenities were thoughtfully provided. The serene surroundings and golden sand dunes created a magical atmosphere, especially during sunset. One of the highlights of our stay was the cultural evening program. The live folk music and traditional Kalbelia dance performances were mesmerizing and gave us a glimpse into Rajasthan’s rich heritage. The camel safari across the dunes was another amazing experience — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for capturing beautiful memories. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of authentic Rajasthani dishes as well as other cuisines. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Overall, my visit to Rajputana Desert Camp was incredible. It’s the perfect place for anyone looking to experience the beauty of the Thar Desert with comfort, culture, and excellent hospitality. Highly recommended! 🌅🐪
