Excellent location of the retreat and of our tent right in front of the lake. Perfect for peace and to listen to Dawn and dusk bird chorus. The tent is spacious and comfortable ( not luxurious). The porch furniture could have been more comfortable considering a lot of time is spent. For me, the bed mattress was just too soft giving me a backache. The manager Naveen and all the resort staff as well as the office staff were excellent and always making sure we were comfortable and got everything we needed. The food provided was excellent and had variety. ||The air cooler in the tent was quite noisy as was the background 24/7 noise from the mining carried out nearby. Navenby has extensive knowledge of the local fauna and flora and we enjoyed the evening jeep safari. ||On the whole a very good experience.

It's located in the middle of a National Park. I would visit again just for the view. The delicious food just adds to it all. The tent rooms make you feel like you are right there in the forest. We went for a beautiful sunrise walk with the manager/host, and it was one of the most memorable experience of this year. If there is even a small nature lover inside you, Dera Baghdarra is a must visit.

This is a hidden gem. We stayed there for two nights and had a very peaceful experience in the lap of nature. This is not a typical commercial resort but a nature-conserving homestay run by people passionate about wildlife, nature, and genuine hospitality. Naveen Ji is a great host and the entire team took care of us like their personal guests. If you are looking for a calm and serene getaway, this is your place.

If you're someone who loves nature and thrives on adventure, Dera Baghdarrah is an absolute must-visit. Nestled in the heart of the jungle, this place offers a truly immersive experience. The surrounding wilderness can be a bit intimidating for some, but if you’re into adventures, it’s an experience you shouldn’t miss. One of the highlights of our stay was spotting a leopard—yes, we were lucky enough to see one of the two leopards that reside in the park! We also spotted crocodiles, adding to the thrill of the experience. At night, the sounds of the jungle come alive, making you feel even closer to nature. The tents are minimalistic yet equipped with all the basic amenities you need. The only downside I found was the absence of air conditioning, but the coolers provided were sufficient, at least for me. The staff at Dera Baghdarrah is exceptional, always ready to assist whenever needed. They offer three meals a day plus snacks in the evening, and the chargeable barbecue was a delight. I’d recommend staying for at least two nights to fully soak in the experience. The safari trails are long enough to explore, and you can even drive around the park in your own car. Special mention to Naveen ji, the manager, who was incredibly helpful. The entire staff was polite and service-oriented, making my stay peaceful and relaxing. I only stayed for a day, but I wish I could have extended my stay for a couple more days. This place truly allows you to disconnect and find tranquility in nature.

Great time spent here. Had fun and quality time with family. Special points to the food, which majorly makes or breaks the experience for us. Fortunate enough to meet the owners of this retreat facility. Pankaj sir. One of the owners there, great man. Very happy to meet you sir. Had quite some conversations with this you. Also, naveen ji, the property manager i guess, should be the face of this resort all due to his demeanor. He seems to be a person of experience. Staff all fine and food to die for. Great place for a weekend stay or whenever someone has couple of days to relax. Keep up the good work guys. Hopefully will meet soon.

It was a whole new experience for me and my family staying so close to nature . The safari was the best part we experienced . Mr Naveen having a great knowledge about the all the species of plants , birds and animals which makes the stay more interesting. Mr Naveen and his team are experts in hospitalisation moreover The food was amazing , staying in camp and that to be in forest was life time experience.

Had a wonderful stay amid nature. Connecting with it was completely worth it and very refreshing. Very well maintained camp and a special thanks to Naveen ji for amazing hospitality from arranging delicious home cooked food specially dal batti to taking us for the safari and the nature walk and the staff for all the supports. Would definitely recommend all the nature lovers to visit !
