Bhairavgarh Palace Udaipur

We recently attended a family wedding event here. The location is decent and service was prompt. What really shocked us was the fact that such a luxurious hotel employs petty thieves in their room housekeeping staff. I call them petty because their staff “mistakenly” cleared (more like stole) a minor snacks hamper which even included 5-6 sealed goodies. When confronted they say that we thought it was a garbage disposal bag because it was jute. Why would you think of a jute bag as garbage disposal ? Also you have to be blond to not notice a bag full of sealed snacks and chocolates. While we don’t really mind losing the snacks, the fact that the management is lying to our faces and not admitting their mistake…calling a hamper garbage is what really disappoints us. Really sad and unprofessional.

I recently stayed at Bhairavgarh Palace, Udaipur and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. While the hotel boasts a beautiful location and stunning views, the positives end there. The food quality was extremely poor, with limited options and dishes that were either bland or overcooked and it was really mediocre. The hospitality was equally disappointing – the staff seemed uninterested in providing basic service and were slow to respond to any requests. It’s a shame that such a well-located property doesn’t live up to its potential. Despite the scenic surroundings, the overall experience was unpleasant, and I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This is a nice place to stay in Udaipur. Outside the city, this resort has a palace like look. We stayed here for couple of days, and the stay was very comfortable. Room was spacious, with “jharokha” type large window. Food was excellent, and quite obviously, price was on higher side. Surprisingly, the price of mutton was quite reasonable with respect to quantity, but simple items like rice, dal, etc. were exorbitantly priced. Buffet dinner was very nice. One thing disappointed us – and it is housekeeping. When we checked in, there was no towel in the room. From 1:00 p.m. onwards, we had to ask 4 times to finally get the towels in the evening at around 7:30 pm. Naturally, we couldn’t freshen up after checking in – and we had to straight go for sightseeing. Next day, when we returned after full day sightseeing, we found that nobody had come to our room for housekeeping. This is a basic service that even a small hotel also provides. Finally we had to call the housekeeping staff to at least clean the waste basket and provide the daily quota of water bottles. They provided the water quite reluctantly, do not know why. Were they trying to save Rs. 40? Anyway, next day, when we were checking out, we had to wait for at least 20 minutes for a hotel staff to pick up our luggage. Finally I started doing it myself, and then they came. So, although I liked the stay in this hotel, I liked the location and scenic beauty around, I must say that their housekeeping service needs improvement.

We was very happy along with my family. Room, Food quality, & Near location was excellent. I was come this property four times. I always meet with Mr. Piyush they very helpful person & Active. He always give me same room mounting facing.

Was meant to stay here but arrived at hotel and moved immediately. Hotel is filthy. The corridors and lifts are full of dirt. Rooms - bedsheets have stains. Coffee stains on surfaces. Hair in bathroom sink. Hotel seemed empty and bare. Staff unbothered having chit chat. Not recommended. Is not a 4* standard hotel!

I went with my family, it was quite unexpected. Before the trip, I had viewed the website, with high expectations I set off to the place. I was pretty disappointed when I walked around the place and found out the activities available. When we asked at the reception, there was only the pool and the spa. The spa was a pretty small empty room, with high costs of about 5000 rupees for a massage. When I looked at the swimming, it was disappointing for me as a swimmer as the feet touched the floor, and it was so open that bugs could easily attract. Whilst entering, I also found plenty of worms, bugs, and insecst on the tiles, which I felt guilty for killing accidentally. The rooms didn't have much of an anti-insectproof, allowing bugs. There were mosquitoes in my room, including the bathroom (the valley view room and the pool view one) The two things I liked were the breakfast meals and the room air-conditioning in sleeping rooms. (NOTE: You have to switch lifts in between floors to reach the food area. TAKE odomos to prevent mosquito bites) There is NO gym! And there is no play area for kids! I was pretty bored and annoyed by the bugs in just 2 days. I think that if you are looking for a roof to sleep under and travel outside, then I would certainly suggest this hotel. But I wouldn't suggest it if you want to spend the day indoors with family and do much of the activities (especially with ones aged up to 19). The kids get easily bored, but the photos are worth taking.

We had been to this hotel just for 1 night and yes the experience was really amazing. They have rooms overlooking beach. Food is also excellent especially during breakfast even though they had limited items but food taste really good. Service is also upto the mark.
