Wish we could give more Stars. Such an amazing and peaceful homestay 😍 not just the space but also Gokul and his team were so humble to assist us all around. The homemade food, we had breakfast and dinner, was just delicious! All in all we had a lovely time at the shell park - perfect to relax and unwind☺️ We also got some lovely homemade food.

My stay in shell park was so impressive, nestled in the heart of a serene countryside. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a special experience. The hosts warmly welcomed me, making me feel like part of their family right away. The resort itself was a picture-perfect retreat, surrounded by lush greenery and offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The property exuded a rustic charm, with a beautifully maintained garden and cozy seating areas where guests could relax and unwind. It truly felt like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Ample space for parking was so helpful for us. Thanks a lot for this lovely experience.

I loved the stay in shell park and to my surprise the hosts went above and beyond to ensure my comfort throughout my time there. They were always available to offer recommendations on nearby attractions and activities, making sure I made the most of my visit. They even prepared delicious homemade breakfasts each morning, featuring local specialties and ingredients sourced from their garden. Loved it.

Me and my family (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed in Shell Park 2 weeks ago. The summary of the review is, price vs value for money is utterly disappointing. It was not just for me, there were other members who stayed in the property they were disappointed as well and they have posted similar reviews in Make My Trip and other portals they booked from. There were two families who stayed during the same period and asked me "How are you finding the stay here", I mentioned all the things I found not really worth the price and it resonated with them and they also mentioned the same. Please don't go by the looks of this property, make your judgment wisely. I paid approximately 7k per day (probably during peak season) and this property is clearly a budget stay and definitely not worth more than 3k any day of the year (even during peak season). My recommendation is you may want to stay here only if you don't get any other property. Few points for you to remember before booking. 1) This is a homestay and not a hotel. Budget Homestay. 2) The owners are in Chennai and not in Kanyakumari. The owners talk to you over the phone like they are there for everything but when you go there, there is a property manager who can't serve you well and he appears to be handicapped by the owner. 3) The approach road is pathetic, if you have an SUV or a 6/7 seater, you would find it difficult to get through the gate (see the attached pic). 4) There is no coffee or tea inside the room. You need to ask for it. They gave 1 Nescafe coffee sachet (probably costs 2 rupees) for 4 members who are staying in this property. Then I asked the property manager to give me more coffee sachets, he brought just one more (just one more). This shows how the customer service is and the overall experience you would get. 5) The heater inside the bathroom is of type "Instant" which means, you don't have to wait for the water to be hot. Apparently, this was another big disappointment because the water comes medium hot only for 1 or 2 mins (roughly 2 to 3 liters) and then again you wait for 10 mins for another 2 to 3 liters of medium hot water. Remember although the outside temp is hot, the AC inside the room would make you want some hot water for bathing. 6) Coming to the breakfast, when you come there, they will say we have 3 items in the breakfast, what do you want. The next day morning they would give you what they wanted (lol). They give you either Idly or Dosa or Pongal. Not all 3 items. If you pay the same price elsewhere you would a decent breakfast spread, this is utterly disappointing. More over there is no dining area, so you have to probably sit on the bed or floor to have breakfast. The sambar they provided was full of water and you need a glass to drink it (Rolf). Don't expect any good breakfast here, you will be super disappointed. 7) Coming to the pillows, they stink. They don't seem to change the pillows regularly and they only put a new pillow cover. 8) Coming to the comforter/rug/or something of that sort, they give you a bed sheet (see the pic), if you are running AC, these bedsheets are so thin that makes you feel you want to turn off AC. 9) Coming to the bath towels (see the pic), you don't feel like using them but you don't have a choice as you didn't expect this from a property that you have paid premium. 10) Look at the phone (see the pic, you may have to zoom in), it is covered with dust and the tiles are broken. The folks on the property don't clean the room at all, they just do surface cleaning. Overall I have taken time to review and share the real pics, as you shouldn't get fooled by the pics shown on the websites. Also, my review is not to shame the property owners, it is my point of view only, that it is not value for money and anything beyond 3K INR is worthless. I am not sure how others have given this property ratings above 4, it is not worth 3 itself. I am sure the property owners will try to respond and defend themselves. They need to focus on customer experience instead of being money-minded and defending themselves.

It was evident that great attention to detail had been given to ensure the rooms were immaculately clean and well-maintained. The staff at Shell Park were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. They went above and beyond to ensure that all of my needs were met and provided excellent service with a warm smile. Their genuine hospitality truly made my stay memorable, and I am grateful for their attentiveness. To top it off, the location of Shell Park is ideal. Situated in a quiet area, it offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of the city, while still being conveniently close to all the major attractions in Kanyakumari. Whether it's the mesmerizing sunrise at Cape Comorin or the bustling streets of Kanyakumari town, everything is easily accessible from this hotel. In conclusion, Shell Park is an outstanding hotel that offers a truly remarkable stay in Kanyakumari. From the excellent rooms and impeccable cleanliness to the inviting ambiance and helpful staff, it is a place where you can truly relax and unwind. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kanyakumari, and I'm certain that you won't be disappointed with your experience.
