NillThe property is absolutely stunning—nestled in nature with beautifully designed rooms that blend heritage charm with modern comfort. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options to suit every palate, and the service was warm, attentive, and truly five-star. What stood out the most was their incredible hospitality and the thoughtful attention given to every little detail. Our family felt so well taken care of. And for those with kids—there are plenty of fun activities to keep the little ones entertained all day long! Highly recommend Tamara Kodai for a peaceful, luxurious, and family-friendly getaway. Can’t wait to visit again!

NillWe stayed for longer period of 5 nights in there 2 bed room Neelkurinji suite with family. The Property has good charm with rustic design & the old British bungalow is nicely extended with addition of new structures around it blending well with nature & nestled in quite peaceful location close to the town of Kodaikanal. The staff here was humble, courteous, welcoming & ready to help. The Restaurant team led by Mr Ajay Rana & colleagues Akash & others were very helpful & always tried to fulfil our requirements. The food wasn’t great and minor detailing was missing. It wasn’t bad but my experience with other luxury hotels is far superior about food. The chef & his team tried to serve us best possible but many small detailing were missing like they ran out of pickle two days after we checked in, they had no Jain ketchup to serve, many of the South Indian dishes were not authentic (coconut milk served with idiyappam had lot of green chillies) & the detailing was simply missing - they gave us sandwiches for our way back with lot of chillies in the chutney - horribly hot…..this was even after we ordered them to the chef directly with specific request of non spicy stuff for kids. The property is well laid out with all the facilities like heated swimming pool, large Yoga Room on an elevated spot, play area for kids near lobby equipped with air hockey (chargeable), carrom, chess, some wall games & a snooker table. The SPA is awesome & we all had some very relaxing therapies here. The Ayurvedic doctor on call Ms Vidhya was very helpful. Daily evening Tombola / Housie & Karaoke were nice way to spend quality time with friends & family. Their indoor sitting area near lobby with live bonfire with caffe was cosy & comfy. The life size floor laden snacks & ladders was inviting kids & grown ups equally. Housekeeping levels were good but detailing in the rooms were missing like magnifying mirror was placed on counter height instead of face level, WC were of low height & second bathroom in our suite was small. Rooms could have been better designed. Overall our experience was good with efficient service & positive attitude of the staff adding to the experience. Recommended for stay with family & recommend the management to work upon food quality & detailing in service especially in food department & room amenities.

NillA Memorable Stay at Tamara Kodaikanal – A Beautiful Escape! My recent visit to Tamara Kodaikanal was absolutely amazing. The property is nestled in lush greenery, and the ambience is simply serene and refreshing. It’s the perfect place to unwind and create beautiful memories. Each room is curated with so much love and attention to detail. The wood-finished interiors are cozy, spacious, and come equipped with all the modern amenities one could need for a comfortable stay. You can truly feel the warmth the moment you step in. What made the stay even more memorable was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. A special shoutout to Kushal at the front office—such a soft-spoken and genuinely kind person. His customer-first attitude and calm demeanor made our check-in and entire stay seamless and comfortable. Gopal from the restaurant deserves a big applause! He truly believes that the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. Every meal was served with so much warmth, and his attention to detail and guest happiness stood out. Also, a big thank you to Mr. Ajay, the F&B Manager, for being so welcoming and making dining a delightful experience. However, I do have a small piece of constructive feedback. While everything else was nearly perfect, I faced an unfortunate experience with housekeeping on the last day. The staff member was using bath towels for cleaning, which was quite disappointing from a hygiene standpoint. There were a few more lapses that I prefer not to elaborate on, but they did leave a sour aftertaste to an otherwise wonderful experience. I believe the property would benefit greatly from a dedicated housekeeping supervisor and proper training protocols to maintain the high standards that Tamara is known for. Overall, it was a lovely and memorable stay. I would absolutely recommend Tamara Kodaikanal to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious escape—just hope to see improvements in the housekeeping department next time. Thank you, Tamara, for a beautiful experience! 🌿✨

NillI had a very bad experience at Elevation Spa in Tamara kodai during my stay from1st to 3rd July. On 2nd I had booked for a anti ageing facial. The spa was understaffed and under trained and un professional. I was not given change of dress, the steaming machine was not used, instead a warm cloth was kept on my face, massage was hardly 10 mins, a cucumber mask was said to be applied very lightly. The experience was worse than a normal street saloon. The transport arranged by the hotel was also rigid, unaccomodative and unfriendly. Please be aware, both these services offered by the resort are over expensive and are the worst.

NillThe Rooms are worn out. We were checked into room no. 502 and it was horrible: 1) Access Lock Not working properly 2) Broken Chair 3) Dirty Diwan cover 4) Broken commode 5) Bath Area water not draining properly. After the first night of our stay, we complained about the room to the reception and they changed the room for us. (why provide us this broken room for us in the first place?) We booked a full-board package with them, which included the activities too. After check in we were informed that a few activities were allowed only twice. we were also charged for the baby food that we ordered to our room. The staff were good and were always hospitable. On the whole, it was an okay experience but not money worthy at all.

NillNestled in thick vegetation on a hilly terrain, geographically well located with beautiful lawn and landscape. Contextual architecture blend well with nature and making one to feel at home, providing the best comfort be a business or leisure stay. Both bengali and south indian chef provide authentic cucine that lingers in our mind and taste bud for long. The supporting staffs are absolutely humble, courteous and at service providing great experience throughout. In hospitality industry, it is quite difficult to get great matrix bringing in all together but this Tamara management pull out the best very well

★★★★★Super nice ambience, staff are very polite and helping, food is very delicious, especially the thalapakattu mutton biryani, my spouse loved it. South Indian chef Mr. Selvam was very friendly and guided us with less populated, less touched tourist attractions which were really worth the trip. Overall it was a peasant experience and highly recommend it.
