Taara Villa – Luxury Beachside Homestay, Kovalam

Loved the stay at Taara Villa! The rooms were spacious, maintained very clean and also got a great view of the pristine blue beach from the room. The beach is at a walking distance from the villa. The swimming pool is quite big and also has a shallow pool for the kids.Loved the Bluetooth sound system provided, which proved to be a great source of entertainment while swimming and at the outdoor dining area. It also has a kitchen with a refrigerator in case you would like to cook. The villa has ample parking space for our cars within the compound. I would like to thank the owner Mr.Sandheep who was so welcoming. Would definitely recommend everyone to book a stay here!!

We visited as a group of 10 and had a great time. The swimming pool was clean and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing. The facilities were good overall, and the Bluetooth speaker added to the fun vibe. Please note that there is no cooking option available—you’ll need to rely on food delivery apps for meals. The AC in some rooms could use a bit of servicing, but it didn't majorly affect our stay. The villa can comfortably accommodate a group of 10, making it ideal for family or friends' getaways. One thing to note: the weekend tariff is higher compared to weekdays. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay by the beach!

Taara Villa in Kovalam is an amazing place to stay! The property is a beautiful 5BHK villa located close to the beach, with clean, spacious rooms and a lovely outdoor sit-out area by the swimming pool. The owner was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We had so much fun in the pool — it was a little deep, which made it even more enjoyable, and they even had swim tubes available. The entire property felt safe, and we didn’t face any issues during our stay. The only downside was the check-in and check-out timings. Unlike most resorts, the check-in was at 1 PM and check-out was at 11 AM, which felt too early — especially after a late-night party. It was tough to wake up and get ready in time. What really put us off was that the caretaker switched off the power just half an hour past the check-out time, which felt quite rude. We’ve never experienced that kind of behavior at any other resort before. Aside from that, Taara Villa is a great choice for a chill getaway with friends or family. Would definitely recommend it — just keep the checkout time in mind.

Unlike most properties, this one did not provide drinking water or towels. The lower balcony still had litter from the previous booking, the place was only partially clean, and Wi-Fi was not provided. Frequent power cuts were another disappointment during the stay. On the positive side, it’s a great property located just 50 metres (or less) from the beach. For under ₹25k, it’s one of the best options in Kovalam with 4 bedrooms and two extra beds on the top floor, a barbeque grill near the pool, parking space for 3 cars, and a couple of bikes. A spacious, well-located stay with plenty of amenities if the maintenance and basic facilities are improved, it could be near perfect.
