Eco Camp Mudumalai

We had a great time as a family. It is in the midst of the jungle so it gives you completely a different experience of raw wildlife. The ambience was awesome and the food is especially great, so there is nothing you miss out. And above all habib who owns the place is extremely informative and you could know everything about wildlife and his experiences that he shares will thrill you. Overall it's an amazing experience and I would recommend it to anyone.

Homely place. Quiet in the middle of greens. Away from the commercial activities of Masinagudi village. Decent and comfortable rooms, but devoid of luxury. The host, Mr. Habib is warm and friendly, and knowledgeable about Nilgiri hills. He is willing to take the guests around in his Jeep, though we could not avail of the opportunity. We loved the homely dinner cooked by the hostess Mrs. Roshni. An ideal place to relax or to have off-beat excursions, though the price appeared to be a little on the higher side.

tl;dr - AVOID. I was looking for a stay as close to the Jungle and found this in Google Maps. The Google review was found to be good, rates reasonable and the conversations nice.. Reached the place and the first shock - the room was below average, burning heat waves from Sheet roof!!. Luckily there was Air Conditioner (additional ₹500). Realized the originally quoted rate for 'night safari' was 3x the market rate and avoided. For 2 kids (8 years) and 2 adults, there was an additional charge of ₹500 for extra bed - though we didn't avail any extra bed (also, there was no space for an additional Bed). The bathroom was average, though hot and cold water was available. Food was good, though charges are comparable to any proper resort. Also, the host was courteous. This is a place where the visitors do not frequent and if you end up choosing this place, you pay a price for it.
