Ranga Cottages

I stayed there recently with my family. Rooms are way small and prices are super high. This property deserve hardly 2.5k per night per room. But they charged 6k. All 2 days electricity issue and AC was keep on getting switched ON/OFF. So it became sleepless night and staff does not have any solution. I just saw same issue has highlighted in past as well by another visitor. So I am surprised after 2 year they did not fix the issue and treating customers with known issue. One of the worst property I ever taken at any place. Be careful before selecting this place. You need to face small size room with full of heat along with sweating without AC.

They have pretty decent rooms and it's just on the ECR right next to the turn that leads to auroville. So even with public transport it's hardly a couple of hundred metres. The management is very accommodating and the service is good. No toiletries or water that was a little weird but I guess most properties aren't providing them. Commuting to tourist places would require you to rent a bike if you reached via public transport as it's little outer from the city centre but very close to auroville.

Myself along with a group of 10 people visited this place on a weekend. The place was very calm, neat and the ambiance was pleasant. The rooms were maintained well and compact. Car parking and lawn facilities were also available. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience and would recommend this place to others as well.

Firstly pictures are deceiving, it's much smaller. Barely two cars can park. There is constant power fluctuation so the AC kept getting switched off. Through the night we had to wake up and switch it on every time the power dropped. The TV was not working either. After bringing this to managers attention, suddenly the AC was fixed and worked all day even with power fluctuation. The people at reception are nice but you have to push to get things done. Only stayed here because it was peak time and we didn't have any other choice.

There is no electricity since night 930pm and I'm writing this review at 430 am in the morning with alot of mosquitos in the room. Horrible service by owner of the property even after calling twice in the middle of the night. Kindly do not book the property. Do check other properties who have back up generators to have a good time with friends or family. Pathetic service

Hi my self Amit Kumar and I am from Andaman and Nicobar Island havelock I will come down on November 2 /2022 in Auroville for my Teachnican courses and I will booking my room at ranga resort I have a great experience with resort owner and staff they are treat me like a family member and provide excellent services . I had a good time at inside the resort because entire resort covered by evergreen and eco friendly environments…..I will come back soon at Ranga resort.👌

Do not book your stay here. One of the worst cottage in whole of South India. AC was absolutely not working and the only reason they came up with is power fluctuations. I had no option but to vacate and book a place elsewhere. The manager did not even have the courtesy to address or apologize for the issue, despite paying the advance. Avoid this place!

Excellent location. Perfect for a groups. Very well maintained property. Outskirts of pondicherry. Easy access to auroville. Each living quaters has 2 rooms ( top and bottom floor) and they are interconnected by a spiral staircase. So it's technically one large room . however they do come with seperate bathrooms though.
