Disappointing Experience at Resort Joe's Beach Shack I recently spent 3 miserable nights at Resort Joe's Beach Shack, and it was a huge letdown. Here's why: Issues: 1.⁠ ⁠Unhygienic rooms: Dirty linens, stained towels, and dust-covered furniture. 2.⁠ ⁠Poor maintenance: Leaky faucets, creaky doors, no main door locks. 3.⁠ ⁠Unfriendly staff: Unresponsive. 4.⁠ ⁠Limited amenities: Poor Wi-Fi, dirty swimming pool 5. Rooms doesn't have tea coffee sachets 6. Tea available post 6:30 AM. 7. Breakfast they say 8:30 AM. but we only got post 9:15 A.M. 8. Housekeeping was not there for 3 days. 9. They respond to calls after 6/7 times you call them. 10. After ordering dinner they delivered 1 hour late. Resort Joe's Beach Shack failed to deliver on basic comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality. For the price, I expected far better. Unless major renovations and staff training occur, I would not recommend this resort to anyone. Suggestions: 1.⁠ ⁠Improve room cleanliness and maintenance. 2.⁠ ⁠Train staff on customer service. 3.⁠ ⁠Upgrade amenities.

Stayed for a night last week in their Nemo cottage. It was a wonderful stay with extended support from the management and staff. We had booked twin room through Agoda without realising that is a narrow container room. However, resort management was kind enough to give free upgrade to standard cottage which is also a container room but lay out was better. The staff were very courteous and attentive - worth to mention the service from Mr. Sathyaraj who gone extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The resort has a great campus which gives "close to nature" experience. We could spot variety of birds in the morning, also saw couple of peacocks. The swimming pool and children's play area were well maintained. The complementary breakfast was really good, served in the cafeteria by 8:00 AM with variety of items - Idli, Dosa, Vada, Poori, Pongal, Kesaribath, Watermelon Juice, Tea, Coffee, etc. Though overall experience exceeded our expectation, few things need to be improved - attached bathroom looks old & stained and needs renovation. The close to nature experience is not always great, especially in night after the rains when swarms of flying termites flock around the lamps. The management should consider installation of bug zappers and treatments.

I stayed with my family. Our stay was really pleasant. Villa was very spacious with two twin beds. Good for family. Services were very excellent. Specially, Balaji was very supportive and friendly. Its a nice place for peaceful stay.

We loved the stay .... nice ambience... sea foods are great... special thanks to the management for taking good care of the Dogs and letting them stay at the property. Also the dogs are very friendly ... we loved the company... Overall a great stay.

Joe's Beach Shack at Mandapam was the launchpad for our trip to Rameshwaram. It is a pet friendly resort and that's why we chose it. The resort is lovely, lush green place with well grown trees, lovely cottages, well kept lawns, no litter or waste, an excellent decent sized swimming pool, etc. So full marks for the place. Service is reasonable but somewhat casual and leisurely, probably because of less number of staff. About the room.....we stayed in a container shack called Nemo. It is made in a 20 foot container, had 2 single beds, a luggage rack, a washroom with a WC, Shower and wash basin. Room had an effective Split AC, free wi-fi, a small balcony overlooking the garden. Bigger, higher priced rooms are available. Gardens and hammocks are all over the place. Restaurant is basic but neat and tidy. Food was available on pre-order reasonably priced and well made. The Ariyaman Beach is nearby, accessible by a 5 minute walk. The beach is reasonably clean and safe. Unfortunately, no lifeguards or life jackets could be seen, So beware and do not venture alone unless you are a good swimmer.

No offense, but I had to ask all questions to the receptionist myself. They didn't care to explain the rooms and cost properly. The response made me feel like I'm not welcome here.. maybe they only welcome foreign customers or Ambani like people? Or they don't want customers at all. Big question mark . I don't know. I like to stay in resorts weekly but not coming back here. No offense . Thankyou.

Very nice experience of resort. Only walk in distance from resort to arinayamam beach. Beach was very silent and no deep water is also clear. This resort staff was very friendly and prompt services. Resort manager Mr. Leo was very co operative and helpful person who had arranged all local services. Leo also speak and understand Hindi language so we can easily communicate with him. Overall Resort experience was so pleasant.. But 1 feedback from us they have no taxi services for pickup and drop so it will be improving this facility.

I took villa for 7500/day. 1.Shower didn't work, 2.sit out fan didn't work, 3.no door stoppers, 4.worst of all, an internet with a max 3mbps connection. Let's come to service, they would have answered the mobile/landline of reception in 7/15 times we called during our stay. I called 4 times to reception mobile in the morning around 9 30 am while outside to inform of my food needed, but the call was not attended and no call back, when I called around 11 they attended and told food is over now. Good things are calm and humble service people, pool was good, park was good, room ambience was good. They charge 7.5k+tax like a 3 star hotel price but the maintenance of the place doesn't justify for the price.
