Sterling Yelagiri

The hotel rooms and services are average. The management should look into the cleanliness of bed linens (we found the remains of mixture crumbs on the bed). There were no towels in the bathroom and so when we asked for it, they gave us pool towels which smelled unpleasant. The shower and tap in the bathroom did not mix hot and cold water consistently, so the water was either too hot or too cold. The kettle was not working, but they replaced it when we reported it. Also, one area in the 3rd floor corridor had some water dripping from the terrace on to the floor- making it very prone for an accidental fall. But apart from these minor inconveniences, it was a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Their recreational activity room was adequate and they had a good collection of songs played in the evening. The decorative lighting of the hotel was much appreciable in the evening. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Our stay at the sterling was a delightful experience, thanks to its prime location near the market and friendly, attentive staff. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and offered comfortable beds with modern amenities. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of local and continental options, and the restaurant staff were particularly accommodating to dietary needs. And Help desk and House keeping persons Manoj,prem,kimi, parvathi, Ajith, valarmathi was very helpful and thankyou so much.We especially appreciated the helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and the seamless check-in/check-out process. Overall, a great value for money and a perfect base for exploring Yercaud

I had a very good experience at Sterling resorts. The staff were very friendly & accommodating. Mr.Pradeesh was very helpful, he personally took care of my needs & special request without any hesitation despite being busy with other guests. The staff at the reception are very welcoming & prompt. Everything was perfect. After the renovations happening I hope the resort turns out even better. Probably one of the best large scale resort in Yelagiri. Will be surely visiting again for my weekend getaways from city life.

Hospitality was excellent. Staff were polite and were receptive to our requests. Time management for big groups in dining space is appreciated. Camp fire and DJ arrangement were time appropriate. It is a small property, situated in an easily accessible location. Room mattresses, bathroom curtains and towels can be more clean / replaced with new ones. Lighting fixtures inside the room was too dim. Live counter menu can be displayed so that people are aware of the items upfront. Parking area should be bigger

I recently stayed at Sterling Yelagiri and, unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. While the location is decent, the property itself seems poorly maintained. The rooms were not clean, with stained linens and a noticeable musty smell. The bathroom facilities were subpar, with leaking faucets and inconsistent hot water supply. Speaking of food, the dining experience was horrific, underwhelming—limited options, horrible taste. The overall ambiance of the property also lacked vibrancy or attention to detail, making it feel far from a relaxing getaway. For the price charged, the experience offered is definitely not worth it. I wouldn’t recommend Sterling Yelagiri unless significant improvements are made to both the facilities and service standards.

The stay evoked a nostalgic feeling reminiscent of college hostel days, with a similar arrangement. However, the bed linen appeared outdated and in need of refreshing. While the rooms were spacious, the service throughout the stay could be significantly improved. Check-in and check-out processes were time-consuming. The restaurant service also required improvement, although the food itself was tasty. There is only one working lift and when it's crowded it can take good amount of time to get the lift.

The property falls short of expectations and is currently under maintenance, which affects the overall experience. The front desk area is congested, and the staff appears not equipped to manage reception duties efficiently. Housekeeping standards are disappointing, and both the food quality and hospitality is not meeting the basic standard.It is evident that the staff lacks basic training in guest services. This experience is a black mark on the Sterling brand, which is known for better standards. It is high time Sterling prioritizes comprehensive hospitality training for its staff to enhance the guest experience.

Spa was absolutely great! Definitely would recommend. Food variety and taste were decent - not too good, not too bad. When we visited there seemed to be some miscommunication with the reception and the spa, which led to a bit of confusion on timings. But they were well managed and we had a really good experience in the end. The hotel is also very accessible as it's located in the main road.
