We booked Thavika Silverwoods during the last week of May for our baby's first trip, expecting a comfortable and memorable stay. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience. We checked in around 1:00 PM. A few hours later, it started raining and the power went off. Initially, we assumed the resort was running on a generator, so we weren't concerned. However, after about four hours, the power went off again. When we asked the staff, they informed us that the resort was running only on an inverter, not a generator. For a stay that cost us around ₹7,000, this was unacceptable. If the property does not have generator backup and relies only on an inverter during power outages, this should be clearly mentioned on the website so guests can make an informed decision before booking. Since we were traveling with our baby, we couldn't continue our stay under those conditions. We checked out the very same day after being there for only about two hours and requested a refund, but the resort refused. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend Thavika Silverwoods, especially for families with young children.

We 9 members of 3 families including 2 kids visited and stayed here for a night and enjoyed very much. Big area, ample space to move on, play areas, swimming pool, open auditorium with a big screen live telecast of IPL Matches, camp fire and music and dance .... We stayed in 3BHK villa. Nice place to stay and enjoy.

Our experience at Thavika's Silverwood, Yelagiri was fantastic. The hotel is not for party-going people; it’s for those who want to spend time in a quiet environment. Though it is a cozy hotel, it is surrounded by lush greenery. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. Even though we visited during the LPG gas crisis, they managed to arrange a buffet breakfast and take orders for dinner.

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Our stay at Thavika O Nila Resort was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. We paid ₹3500 for a family room (meant for 3 people), though we were only two. Despite this, the room was very basic and poorly maintained. The cupboard had no hangers, the water bottle seemed old, and the refrigerator was dirty. Basic toiletries were substandard, and surprisingly, there was no mirror in the washroom. Cleanliness was a major concern. The room was not cleaned properly, there were no towels provided, the dustbin had a stale food odour, and the washroom walls had stains that looked like blood. These are basic hygiene standards any hotel should meet. Power cuts were frequent and poorly managed. At night around 1:45 AM, we woke up sweating due to a power outage. Despite repeated calls to reception, there was no response initially, and even after they answered, no immediate action was taken. It appeared that other villas had power backup, but our building did not—something we had already suspected due to multiple outages in the evening. Service overall was very poor. There was loud music played in the evening, which even caused power issues in the building. The staff seemed unresponsive and unprepared. Breakfast was another disappointment. We were told it would be from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, but when we arrived at 8:05, nothing was ready, and the staff claimed it started at 8:30 instead. Several guests were already waiting. The options were extremely limited—no eggs, no fruits, no juice—far below even basic hotel standards. Additionally, there is no Wi-Fi and the mobile network is very weak, making it difficult to stay connected. Overall, this place is highly misleading in terms of the amenities it claims to offer. It felt poorly maintained and not worth the price at all. Definitely not recommended. ❌❌❌
