We visited this resort to just look around. The resort is situated in the middle of nowhere quite a distance from the town centre. The road to this resort was extremely bumpy and uncomfortable. The entry fee for visitors is Rs. 350 to experience the attractions that they have. If you choose to go the restaurant you can skip the entry fee. We went to the restaurant which was very beautifully done up. The interiors were classy in a beige and gold theme. The panka fans in the restaurant were lovely though one was making quite a noise. The attender at our table forgot to get back to us on a query that we had which was surprising because we expect proper attention for the guests. The resort has huge gild statues which looked a bit over the top. Also there was no particular theme for the statues and the sculptures around. They seemed random. I would never pay this high and entry fee for this place . Also the off road trip to this resort is not worth the discomfort. I wouldn't suggest an unnecessary trip here

AR Thanga Kotai offers a unique experience with its impressive artifice and surroundings, but at ₹300, it feels a bit overpriced for what’s inside. There are no eateries, just basic coffee and tea. It's a bit secluded, but if you plan to visit, the best time is around 3 or 4 PM. Stay until 6:30 PM to enjoy the beautiful lights that come on. It's a peaceful spot for those interested in exploring the art and architecture.

Royal ambiance with its palatial architecture and luxurious facilities. However, a few aspects could use improvement to match the premium pricing. Stunning architecture and regal decor. Spacious and well-maintained rooms with modern amenities. Large swimming pool – one of the highlights of the property. Road leading to the property is in poor condition. Food quality could be improved, and prices are slightly high. Request rooms with a mountain view for the best experience. Plan your travel early, as the road to the resort can be tricky at night. Despite minor drawbacks, AR Thanga Kottai is a unique stay option in Yelagiri, especially for those seeking a luxurious and royal experience.

Mentioned at a few places in Yelagiri as a tourist destination, we just visited it but didn’t stay here. It was awfully far away from the heart of the town, nearly inaccessible due to the long, arduous and bad road. They charge Rs 350/- per tourist as entrance fee. But, we went to the restaurant (no entrance fee if one visits only the restaurant) which was grand and well furnished. Service was average but the F&B manager was very customer friendly. The tariff in the website seems fairly high for the uninformed but could be judged only by the guests who stay here. From a fleeting glance, they seem to have lot of attractions (especially for children).

The place looks very great. But no privacy for people staying here. They let all visitors inside and the place is more like an exhibition. I won't recommend it if you expect to stay peacefully and like privacy.

Although the property looks good visually, the staffs and the service were horrible. Negatives: 1. 99% of the staff members can't understand English/Tamil. It was really hard for us to place any request 2. You have to ask multiple times to even get a water bottle. We had to go in person to request for room service 3. They park your car in a muddy place- in 2 days your car will be covered in mud and dust 4. 2PM check in and 11AM checkout is not fair. It would hardly take 2 hours to clean the room for the next guest, yet they have a checkout time of 11AM 5. Rooms were not clean 6. Water logging in the bathroom Positives: I can't think of any

Everything is good in this atmosphere, nearby no shop, no outside restaurants and main thing road is not good. From the main road to this hotel road is very horrible. And one more thing if you come to stay here, Don't come to driver. Because there is no facility to stay the drivers. They are charging rs 200/- per driver. If the drivers stay there, Driver rest room is very worst and not cleaned. Very very dirty and very bad smell. Please come to own drive to this hotel.

Nice ambience and had a great time visiting it. It’s family friendly and it has kids play area. Themed rooms and maintained cleanly . You can spend time within resort and they do have some activities which is only on Saturday’s. Their room service was slow which can be improved but food quality was good with prices on bit higher side
