Clifton Inn Resort, Yercaud

Value for money, room service was good. We Need to consider below items during our stay: 1) Wifi signal not good inside the room, mobile networks also cannot able to get it properly. 2) water heater not working properly. 3) we have to bring bathing towels & bathing kits by our own, they won't provide it. 4) They will provide food based upon our request, taste was okay.

We booked the hotel under the name "Rainbow" and it turned out to be "Clifton". Services and Rooms are below basic and rooms need renovation and maintenance. Do not expect luxury. However, it's nearby places to explore.

Pros- Budget friendly and luxury rooms. Safe for family.I paid only Rs 2014 for double room during on season. Hotel staff speaks respectfully to the guests. 1.2 km from the lake Cons- no mobile networks here. Only hotel wifi but signal strength is very poor. They will not provide towel, water, glass tumblers and soap without asking.

This review is writing for understanding of anyone who wants to stay in this hotel by seeing those photos. The photos are shown in this and real are completely different. Staff is very negligent and rude. Hospitality is bad, when have asked greasier is not working there is no proper response from them. They haven’t providing brush, water bottle and towels as per norms. There is no complimentary breakfast. The rooms and staircases are looking old and not maintaining proper and there is scenic view from hotel. The charges are too high and suggesting to book any other good hotel. The ratings are giving out of 10 Cleanness :- 1 Service :- 0 Access :- 1 Food :- 2 Hospitality :- very very poor Over all :- 1

Ihad bloomed this open from booking. Com it's in the name of vacation villa. Don't get scammed the way we got scammed. First thing they will ask for the booking amount after reaching the properly they will collect the remaining amount before showing the rooms. They will ask you to cancel the booking from booking. Com as the price will increase and stuff. Post that they will give you a pathetic room which is full of damp smell and unclean and nashe you go for a higher room tariff. They are just scammers no room service. You will not be able to escalate also since they have cancelled your booking. If asked for cancellation they tell will return only 10% of the booking. The place is run by the Goons. Not recommended for families as there was fun of blood in the passage not sure what had happened. Beware guys

The rooms were extremely shabby with no basic facilities...The washrooms had no water.. Showers and taps leaking. There was nothing called a room service. They scammed us by showing different room pictures and by taking advance payment and not giving any sort of refund when being questioned about the same. The place is very badly maintained and full of dust and dirt.They don't even change the bedsheets and have drinking water...Don't spend your vacation in this resort it will be a waste of time and money.

Pathetic place. I did mistake by not checking review and booking this place for our one day stay at Yercaud. Only good this here is the people. Rooms are horribly, I had asked or rather I should say booked room with balcony, they never bothered to give me that. The doors were dusty with so many varieties of insects on them, bathroom taps won't stop if you turn them on and some won't work like washbasin. The beds are so dirty, I was all night worried if they had bed bugs n I will carry it with me. No kettle in room. Hot water won't come even if you wait for hours. Overall such a waste of money. Never ever stay here.
