Ray Of Maya Retreat and Resorts

We visited Agra back in December, but felt the hotel needs to be complimented. After initially booking for 2 nights, we had to extend our stay another night due to my partner getting sick. The hotel arranged for a doctor very early in the morning. They also organised for medication to be picked up, room service during the day and coffee/tea when we asked. The hotel staff are very helpful and pleasant. The room was very comfortable/clean and the shower was heaven! The hotel also organised a driver for the day to visit Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and other sites we wanted to see. The restaurant across the road has very good food, so no need to look elsewhere. Overall a pleasant stay considering the circumstances!More Date of stay: December 2012

Clean and safe place. Especially for a woman travelling solo. Guys are very pleasant, helpful and hospitable. It's in walking distance to the main sights Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. There are one more branch of the same hotel just in front, where u can have traditional meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They will help you out with organizing ur your and getting tickets online, so u don8need to wait huge queues to enter Taj Mahal. Recommend!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The room was very big and clean. The location is within walking distance to the Taj Mahal. The front desk staff were so helpful. They stored our bags for part of the day. We had great conversation with Mayan. He was so kind and interesting telling us many stories about India. We highly recommend staying here. It is very quiet for sleeping too as is just off the main road.

The Ray of Maya hotel is clean, very calm, rooms are confortable and the air conditioning works perfectly. The team is very kind and helpful. The location is great : at 10 / 15 minutes of walk (through a garden) of the Taj Mahal. Moreover, you can have dinner and breakfast in the Maya hotel, just on the other side of the street : the place is beautiful and the food delicious.

Great location! Just a short, 15-minute walk to the Taj Mahal which we were able to arrive in time for sunrise. Comfortable beds in well-decorated rooms. Unfortunately, the shower was only luke-warm. Very helpful staff.

Very nice quality/price ratio for Agra, close to the city centre (practical to visit the Taj Mahal), nice decoration, one bedroom and one small extra living room on the other side. Clean, with a view on a very green and relaxing park. Helpful receptionist.

Very basic hotel. Only a soap bar was provided, no shampoo or bath gel. Towels and bed sheets did not feel clean but looked ok. It's not directly on the main Street, so it was somewhat quiet. The room had anti mosquito devices which could be plugged into the wall. Staff was nice.

The location is excellent and very close to the Taj. Given that agra is so congested, location was important to us. The rooms are perfect size, clean, and very comfortable. The manager/owner (?) was extremely nice and helped us with suggestions of places to shop in agra. Also, helped us with transportation. Will return for sure
